Even though a star football player decided to stay in college for his junior season instead of going to the NFL, he says he is ready to cut ties with his university.
Last season, Oklahoma State football fans were paying close attention to running back Chuba Hubbard, who was undecided on whether he would declare for the NFL Draft.
Theres a million things that factor into that decision. Obviously, Ive worked my whole life, you know, for this next step. Now that its here, you know obviously, Im factoring in everything. I dont want to rush it, taking my time, go over every resource I can. Like I said, Im just taking it day by day, and try to focus on this game and then after that, Ill figure it all out, Hubbard said in December.
In 2019, Hubbard ran for more than 2,000 yards and scored 21 touchdowns for the Cowboys.
Hubbard was a unanimous All-American, the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, and finalist for both the Walter Camp Award as the nations top player and the Doak Walker Award as the nations top running back.
Earlier this year, Hubbard announced that he was staying at OSU and would not declare for the NFL Draft.
Now, it seems that his plans might be changing following a social media post featuring OSU head football coach Mike Gundy.
Recently, Gundy was featured in a Facebook post about fishing at Lake Texoma. In the post, Gundy could be seen wearing an OAN shirt.
Hubbard took to Twitter to express his feelings about the shirt.
I will not stand for this.. This is completely insensitive to everything going on in society, and its unacceptable. I will not be doing anything with Oklahoma State until things CHANGE, Hubbard posted.
you might have to be a sooner fan then.
My God. This society is being systematically destroyed.
I’m surprised he even knows what OAN is. I bet someone told him to be offended.
OAN has no support... except for those who watch with their ears and minds open...note: probably should have mentioned one other thing that only works when open... a parachute.
In all my not so humble 26,528 days, Lis Wheeler (Tipping Point) seems to be a sharper thinker than most talking heads, including those on FNN. She is almost certainly worth her weight in ear rings.
,,$1A rights !!!
That I’ll be the day.
Yes, we are Oklahoma fans!
No, I matriculated at Oklahoma State. I would rather get beat with a non-political team than win with a WOKE one.
Buh bye Hubbard.
Will the coach follow the Drew Brees example?
Clothes are racist now?? I wonder if this “half-chub” has any FUBU clothes in his closet?? Now that’s some really racist poo.
Self-entitled privilege much?
Adios, he can go to the University of Texas—Austin, with his outlook on life.
What is OAN?
Complaining about something as innocuous as a T-shirt with the name of a fairly obscure but totally harmless TV news network is such an infantile response that even the biggest virtue-signaling jackass in an NFL front office is going to steer clear of him. This reaction on his part is a symptom of a much bigger problem here: immaturity, entitlement, and a lack of impulse control, for starters.
Jerks like this are poison in an NFL locker room.
Reads like it came from The Babylon Bee.
Not anymore, apparently.
Maybe, but there’s a reason why Colon Kaepernick is still unemployed — and it probably has nothing to do with him kneeling for the national anthem.
Some activist put this kid up to this. I doubt he even knew what OAN was.
I think things have changed over the past year.
