That’s funny. I was just mentioning to my brother this morning that in ordinary times Durka-Durka would be considered an extremist leftist but nowadays she’s positively moderate in comparison to the loonies running amok!
Back in the 1980’s when Jim McDermott - an insane leftist - was getting elected to Congress from downtown Seattle, the Communists would run second behind him, more the doubling the Republican vote...this was during the Reagan years. And in the 30-40 years since, they’ve gone light years further to the Stalinist Left.
