The city of Seattle announced that it would turn a fire station into a community center for black residents after weeks of protests.
The city announced on Thursday that it would be turning over ownership of the fire station to the community in line with a list of demands given to the city from Africatown and other black activist groups.
"We at the City of Seattle understand the urgency behind making bold investments in the Black community and increasing community ownership of land in the Central District," the city wrote.

That was my take, also. It looks to be non-operational, but preserved nicely. Maybe it has some historical significance. Of course it won't stay like that once the "protesters" get access.
These little tinpot dictators, making decisions to not intervene on destruction occurring to both private and public real estate.

I have grown to despise the racist, bigoted, anti American, incompetent left not for what they are, but for what they do to destroy society.
They thrive on taking groups and segments of society they do not even know and demonize them or even eliminate (Cancel culture them) for what they claim to do or have done. They are destroying our history. They want the police and right of self defense eliminated. We need to develop strong organization to oppose these cretins.

There are no decent people left in Seattle. Ditto Portland, Oregon.

The insane dangerous politics is why we didn’t move ( or invest) in Washington state
