"Bye-bye Tucker Carlson!" T-Mobile CEO says as advertisers drop Fox News show(because he was critical of BLM)

Companies including T-Mobile and Papa John's Pizza are distancing themselves from Tucker Carlson's television show on Fox News after the conservative host's dismissive comments about the Black Lives Matters movement.

The backlash intensified after Carlson on Monday offered an inflammatory take on the nationwide anti-racism demonstrations that have followed the death of George Floyd at the hands of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

"This may be a lot of things, this moment we're living through, but it is definitely not about black lives, and remember that when they come for you, and at this rate, they will," Carlson told viewers on June 8, the first day of Floyd's memorial in his adopted hometown of Houston.

Asked by a Twitter user the next day if Carlson's message was one T-Mobile supported, CEO Mike Sievert tweeted back, "It definitely is not. Bye-bye Tucker Carlson! #BlackLivesMatter."

In fact, the telecom said in a subsequent tweet that it had cut ties with Carlson in early May, noting that it had "cancelled all future placements" and that T-Mobile will "continue to support those who stand against racial injustice."

Patriot Mobile

Patriot Mobile began in 2012 with the realization that large corporations like cell phone companies were funding organizations like Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Human Rights Campaign. Founded by two guys, one dog, and a passion to serve, Patriot Mobile exists to provide a service that funds conservative causes and candidates. Patriot Mobile is America’s Only Conservative Cell Phone Company offering super-reliable, nationwide cell phone service and donates a portion of their profits to organizations fighting for 1st & 2nd Amendment rights, Family Values, Small Government, Religious Freedom and Pro-Life.

You use your cell phone every day. Patriot Mobile provides the opportunity for you to use your cell phone to make a change.

No T-Mobile for me, ever, regardless of price benefits.

I will probably switch to Patriot. I think it will cost a bit more than the comparable plan with T Mobile, but it will be worth it to ditch those asswipes. I tried calling Patriot but was kept on hold for a good while and I got tired of waiting, so I will try another day. I think my wife and I will need new phones, which sucks. Certain phones will only work with certain carriers. I think Patriot uses something other than the type T Mobile uses. I have had my phone for about 3 years, but I don’t like to upgrade until they stop working.

I’m already boycotting Papa John’s... because their pizza is crap.

If you don't mind cooking your own, I bought a 4-pack of Costco's house brand, Kirkland frozen Pizza. It is better than I expected; not pizzeria quality but better than most of the big companies.

I was put on hold a few times. Just call back and press option 2.

it is cheaper than T-mobile.

i have a cheap Chinese Alcatel that doesn’t do CDMA, only GSM. But I was happy to switch.

To keep the same number, you have to call T-Mobile and get you account number. Be prepared for a grilling.

I said I was switching because your CEO is an asshole.
Good times.

I got rid of T-mobile years ago because the coverage sucked where I needed to use it.

And that stupid little tune they always play is extremely annoying.

I finally got through to Patriot Mobile. I found out my phones are not unlocked, so I called T-Mobile to tell them to do so. T-Mobile is a GSM network, but apparently our models of iPhones can do either GSM or CDMA, so once the unlocking is done (48-72 hours), I can switch.

However...I am not sure there is any point in doing so. Patriot Mobile basically runs off the Sprint network (which is why it is CDMA). Sprint is now owned by T-Mobile. It is even speculated that Sprint may switch to GSM now that they are part of T-Mobile. I am starting to think it is probably pointless to "switch" to Patriot when I would still be on T-Mobile's (via Sprint's) network.
