What are they going to eat while they wait for this garden to get planted/produce?

Order delivery an organic tofu pizza from a “mysteriously” funded gofundme?

Seriously. Just cut cell service. Problem solved.

Agree.

Easy peasy.

EVERYTHING they do, is based on cell phones.

Yep, and unlike cutting electricity and water, it doesn’t look “harsh”, it just outs them as immature, entitled millennials.

Sounds like some of those fiction EMP books I read.

One of the most realistic (and thus scary) I have read is One Second After by William R. Forstchen.

Things here have leveled out a fair amount at Kroger (central KY) but certainly not fully stocked again and beef/chicken/pork are high and purchases limited. Prices are better than what you describe.

I'm a bit of a prepper, prepper lite I guess. I had lots of hand sanitizer in the garage that I bought years ago dirt cheap. Ditto for TP and 90% rubbing alcohol. We have an upright freezer in the garage that I keep well stocked, usually I only buy meat when it is on sale (no sales now). Of course you can only stock so far ahead with frozen meats.

As far as self defense implements and related consumables, the Mrs. and I are well stocked. When I get fully healed from cataract surgery I need to log some hours at the range. Sorry you're having difficulty with mobility. Must be very frustrating!

Same, but my freezer is aging and making noises. Before all this started I took advantage of 99 cent sales or BOGO’s. Health holds me back doing to much. Yesterday’s trip to Kroger’s was a nightmare. I can slowly walk into store, but not walk the store, have to have the electric cart. None there, I’d could not made the other entrance, didn’t get passed the fruit at entrance before doubling over in AB pain, stocker went down to other end, and got me a barely charged cart, got 3 isles out of it before it went dead, another nearly dead cart allowed me to get to front, # 3 let me finish, and wait half hour to check out. Who ever brings them in, plugs them in, flips up the Charged sign, when they are NOT charged. I’ve tried the Pick up, get crap I don’t want. Not one pack of Bologna except 2 that looked like something Aripio served prisoners. Lots of weird brands, even I can’t use 5 gal can of corn, can’t eat it. Fruits and veggies look slightly past prime. No way I could pay $20.99 for 12 double rolls of TP. Seniors have to watch every penny now. sure can’t afford steak, don’t/can’t do Sea food. Store is spotty, lots of stuff no one with a ruined GI tract can eat.

Very frustrating, we have a starter home, so little room to spare. We moved from a 3,800 ft 2 story house, 6 yrs ago, crime, taxes got to bad. We are in the next county over from Memphis, crime creep. I’ve CCW for nearly 25 yrs. Loss of mobility has been a pain, no travel, I get as far as doctors, they see me bent over in pain, nothing we can do. A bad fall damaged the big AB VAGUS NERVE, spine totally degenerative.

You will want a supply of moisturize eye drops, cataract surgery creates DRY EYE, AVOID RESTASIS. I use SOOTHE singles preservative free. The oily ones blur vision. Can carry in pocket easy.
