DALLAS -- Mavericks owner Mark Cuban implored people to have honest, uncomfortable conversations about race as a means of helping the country move forward.
Cuban made his comments Tuesday morning at an invitation-only event billed as "Courageous Conversation," a series of discussions about systemic racism and disparities facing the black community. The Mavs franchise organized and hosted the event in Victory Plaza outside the American Airlines Center, recruiting several prominent local officials to take part.
"I need all of us to really open up and talk to each other, even when it's difficult," Cuban said during his brief speech at the beginning of the event. "Even when it's not something we're comfortable with, particularly those of you who look like me, the white people. Because it's hard to discuss race when you're white.

"I'm making an example of you, to send a message that if you're going to hurt another human being, you better make damn sure they are the same skin color as you."
I'm also not interested in having a conversation with people who believe it's their right or duty to tell me what or how to think.
When black Americans (not all, obviously) decide to stop listening to dems that encourage them to hate white Americans, I'll consider having a conversation.
When black Americans (Not all, obviously) decide to come out and admit they are racist for hating white Americans, I'll consider having a conversation.
When black Americans (Not all, obviously) decide to stop attacking white Americans simply because they are white (see the knockout game), I'll consider having a conversation.
I have many more pre-conditions to my considering a conversation, but I don't see the point in wasting my time.
Black Americans need to take ownership of their own faults and act to correct them. That's unlikely to happen in my lifetime.
White Americans have been “bending over backwards” to appease black Americans. This approach does not seem to be very effective.
Black people tend to have low IQ’s and don’t seem to be able to conduct themselves according to the norms of an advanced society.
Ok.....Who here is uncomfortable?

What you said!
How do I address that I lost a job I was perfectly qualified for to a affirmative action applicant? What conversation should I have?
I’m not uncomfortable in starting out the conversation that I hate everyone on the planet equally until you prove to me WITH YOUR BEHAVIOR otherwise.
Just drive on any major roadway system in the country and you’ll be convinced Biden was way off in his 10-15% number.
That is great!
Make lists. Compare lists. The conversation will end right there.
Actually, I’m done talking about it.
Hello fellow white people!
He’s white when it suits him. He’s not white when it doesn’t.
and he hates himself for it....
Lol
I will have a conversation with them. I will tell him to go to hell and that will be the end of the conversation.
And I will tell them to stop having babies when the father is going to be nowhere to be found. Start living like real human beings.
I refuse to give up my White Privilege. It’s MY privilege and you can’t have it.
Also, kick those white basketball players off your team, they are taking jobs away from black people.
-How does he, a white man, dare to own a team? He didn't earn that money.
-How does he dare cut anyone from the roster? They all deserve a place on his team.
-How does he, a white man, dare charge black patrons for tickets and concessions? He should give it to them for free.
-How does he, a white man, charge black patrons for licensed apparel? He should also give that to them for free.
Uncomfortable AKA- stand there and get yelled at and called names and not defend yourself.
Actually, I don’t Marky.
Shove it.
When the subject comes up in conversation, I've taken to shutting down the "white privilege" guilt-tripping pretty bluntly and asking, "ok. What exactly do you want us to do?" My own answer starts with vouchering the schools. That often ends the discussion right there. Liberals have nothing to offer. I point out to them that they can feel as guilty as they want, but that won't help a single young black kid learn to read. They don't like that.
I don’t tolerate lecturing from jerks. Cuban can put his money where his mouth is and STFU.
