the entire Emergency Response Team at the Buffalo Police Department has resigned in a show of solidarity for the cops suspended for shoving an elderly man to the ground.
A total of about 57 officers walked off the job Friday, though they are still employed with the police department -- just no longer on the ERT ... according to WIVB reporter Dave Greber.
The move comes less than 24 hours after video surfaced showing cops in heavy gear shoving 75-year-old Martin Gugino even though he was NOT being physically confrontational. A rep for Buffalo PD allegedly told a lcoal reporter the man was injured when he "tripped and fell," but the video shows that's clearly not the case.
Gugino started bleeding from his head and lay motionless immediately after his head hit the pavement.
The Buffalo Police Commissioner took swift action in announcing the 2 officers involved were suspended without pay. The Mayor of Buffalo said he was deeply disturbed over the incident, adding the elderly man is in serious but stable condition.

If he had been wearing the helmet, he would not have been hurt. If he had been wearing the helmet, police would not have allowed him to get so close.
Makes me wonder how much of his injury might be faked.

He is at least an idiot. This was not his first rodeo. The Officer was set up on this one.But from what I heard on the radio, he still has his tit caught in the wringer. he is suspended without pay and the DA is looking to file criminal charges. These are not your average idiots that the police are up against. These are well trained, disciplined, professional Anarchists. They know how to taunt,provoke and bait the Police into doing what they want to get the desired response from the Police. They know how to put themselves in the best light and the Police in the worse light. The Police need to learn how to deal with the Anarchists on their terms[the Police] and not theirs; the Anarchists] their lives and well being may depend on it.
Because he’s a protestor/ dogooder, and he’s probably never attended protests with this kind of animosity before; thankfully up until now,Buffalo has escaped this kind of crap.

I have noticed in several cites “protestors” with their hands up slowly walking to within arms reach of the police lines. Police push them back and they pretend to be hurt or offended. It is simply an attempt to provoke the cops, calculated and coached.

Tracking the cop that pushed him in the video - you can see he reacts to the guys head smacking the sidewalk. He has that “aw sh*t - I didn’t mean for *that* to happen” look, he also pauses, turns, head held low...
I don’t think he intended for that to happen, I’m not sure if the shove was appropriate but considering all the circumstances and not knowing what was being said, no surprise.
