We’re now 30 years into the post Cold War era. Another decade and half and the post Cold War period will be long than the actual Cold War. The Cold War is really no longer relevant given that and we should not be basing policy on it.

I read about this draw down being entertained over a year ago and that the local German Mayor was against it because of the loss of jobs and $ from American troops.
Good.
Germany won’t like that since they rely on the military dollar to boost their economy and civilian jobs.
I'm all for taking them out of southern states and moving them to northern one.
