You have three things that made this into a major mess: (1) bad-cops who should have been laid off but the unions pressured the DAs and Mayors to keep them on, and become bigger problems later. (2) Drugged-up thugs who are common place in every metropolitan city now and just one step away from killing someone. And (3), city council/mayor leadership who seem to always promise an ice cream shop, and end up handing everyone melted creme instead...with no idea on how to handle a evolving society.

When the Fraternal Order of Police endorse President Trump, then I will believe the police are getting fed up with their Democrat Plantation Owners.
Until then, these police actions of turning their backs to the mayors is nothing but theatre.
