Just ordered a little bit more ammo and spare magazines yesterday. I already carry a spare magazine but these will be a little backup to the backup.

Back when Obama was pres. and .22lr got hard to find I started stocking up. I also bought lead, dies, primers, powder, brass, and bullet molds. I can shoot 223 as cheap as .22 lr which I stocked up on. I over reacted years ago I guess. My first thought to your question is no. That’s just me but again no. Stay safe.

Everyone should have a .22 rifle and pistol and a lot of ammo which doesn’t take up much space.
After that, a quality pistol in a common caliber, then a shotgun and rifle. Get the best you can afford. Ammo might be hard to find right now. That is why the .22 should be first.
I keep thinking about Henry Kissinger’s statement from 1991:
