To: colorado tanker; Respond Code Three

It should be pointed out that if a group of non-police civilians detained a criminal (where it is legal to do so) and acted in this way, they would all be in jail on similar if not worse charges, the DA would be pressing hard for no bail and the authorities as a whole would be saying, “This matter is for a jury to settle.”

Why should the police be treated any differently?

Each case has to be evaluated on its individual facts, so I'm not going to speculate on other hypotheticals. That crap can go on forever. But let's look at this case ok? Tell me how the police are being treated here.

No, that’s bs. A civilian’s failure to act to stop the commission of a crime is not a crime.
