Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey is ordering city officials to begin a wide-ranging query of the damage done to the citys infrastructure from the race riots that began last week after the death of George Floyd, planning on requesting a federal bailout for the city to repair the damages done by protestors.
Curiously, Frey seemed a lot less concerned about the economic and property damage impacts of the race riots when they were actually happening.
Even the Democratic Governor of Minnesota, who proved almost equally inept at preventing mass destruction and controlling the volatile situation, slammed Frey for his refusal to deter the large crowds of criminal rioters, calling the citys response to the riots an abject failure. Frey rebuffed suggestions to deploy the Minnesota National Guard before caving and giving in.

Not much happened here. A little west of me in Chanhassen the cops were surrounding the DMV building because they heard it was to be looted.
I really haven’t watched hardly any coverage of it. The little bit I did see the local reporters were saying how peaceful the protesters were and the mean cops were throwing tear gas for no reason. Yeah, sure.
I need to finish up a project on the east side of St Paul but haven’t felt like driving through occupied territory to get there.
The $20 bills must have gotten through.. let the Chinese pay for the destruction with real money.
this A$$hole stood by and did nothing as rioters, looters, and arsonists destroyed private and public property. In his own words “those who stand by and do nothing, are complicit” he, therefore, is complicit in the destruction and violence. He needs to either resign, be recalled or defeated when he runs for reelection.
This little jerk is going to be lucky if the rest of the states dont sue his scrawny little butt for not stopping this. It was his incompetence that started all this.
Take it out of the reparations budget.
Where’s Bloomberg? Where’s Soros? Where’s Bill Gates? Don’t they have money to give to the cause?
Exactly. No dice. You made the decision to refuse Trump’s help so you could have the luxury of virtue signal.
You are on your own now, pal!
I think you know the answer. Constitutionally, the federal government is a federation of states. Minneapolis is in the state of Minnesota, so Minnesotans must bear the brunt of the expense relative to the rest of the states.
As far as how Minnesotans deal with it locally, that's up to your mayors, legislators, governor, and ultimately, voters.

Heres an idea.
Have the rioters and looters pay for it.
They are responsible for the damage, not me.
They should ask Hollywood for the money, they seem to enjoy giving money to the anarchists/looters.
Exactamente! Always easier to make extremely bad decisions and pass the cost on to larger numbers of people so as to greatly dilute its impact AND allow these parasitic politicians to continue their destruction of our institutions.
It’s time the politicians be held accountable for their actions, and impose the cost directly on their constituents, as well as onto the politicians’ political viability. Then maybe, just maybe things will change for the better after the next election - and a response to the elected officeholders next riot will be different, including supporting the very people the taxpayers provide to deal with criminals.
Good, to the point, translation!
The states have given the feds the express constitutional power only to help stop violence, Orange Man Bad Minnesota State government Democratic elite probably not requesting help from the feds as required by Constitutions Article IV, Clause 4.
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence [emphasis added]."
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936. (Possible server certificate warning.)
Corrections, insights welcome.
Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government Democrats and RINOs home in November!
Supporting PDJT with new patriot federal and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a "third term" in office imo.
Go to the Somali community. Im sure theyre anxious to pay.
Minneapolistan closed all the beaches, parks and all kinds of summer programs due to the KungFlu.
That means they also hired very few employees for the season.
With all the money they saved from depriving residents of those things they should have plenty of cash on hand to pay for their own looting costs.
And here comes the 3 trillion dollars.
NO
Your move
Thanks for that report.

55 cents is too much for this loser
