Wow, I guess we’re going to be hearing about a lot of these stories now. There are probably a lot.

That being said, the police have one of the most important and difficult jobs that there is. They literally put their lives on the line everyday, for pay that is probably not commensurate with the work they do, just as it for soldiers. And as with soldiers, they must make their decisions in a split second, in confusing circumstances.

Honestly I hesitate to post this because the police are such a troublesome topic here.

First I've heard of this. I guess it didn't get reported widely even in Texas

Go to YouTube and search for Daniel Shaver for another outrageous murder (I don't know what else to call it) by cop of a white man.

They should study the demonic victim-entitlement mentality, by which the "share the wealth" demand is justified, which the devil - which basically demanded that God "share the wealth" in selfishly presuming that he -Lucifer - would be like the Most High, (Is. 14:14) having God's position and power - used upon Eve, basically telling her that God was selfishly keeping her from being as God via His solitary restriction, and with the consequences of share the wealth being portrayed as a lie. And thus, as today, inferring that having what does not belong to you is actually your right, and that disobedience is justified in order to obtain what you lust for. There rejecting God's principle of rewarding obedience (what the devil presumed is given to those who overcome, as per Rev. 3:21) and rejecting mercy and grace, since what can be forgiven under mercy and given under grace is replaced with "justice - meaning it is your right to possess what you lust for.

As with a church in which the congregation tends to take on the personality of its pastor, how the police responds much depends upon leadership, but mayors are the one's who hire and fire such, and typically are liberal.

Besides wondering what kind of training results in firing 5 shots at a man crawling toward you because you suspect he is reaching for a gun in his shorts. liberals are racist because protest against real or perceived injustice is based upon the color of the victim's skin, not the context of character and violation of due process. And without justifying what the rogue PO did to Floyd, as regards character see here: https://bigleaguepolitics.com/medical-examiner-george-floyd-was-high-on-fentanyl-during-police-encounter-and-died-of-heart-attack/

And in another example of politically-correct/racist no big deal" reporting by the major networks and reactive activists, there is Body camera video shows man tased 11 times by Glendale office.

We should march.

But we will not.

“Police put their lives on the line every day?”

I know this statement is accepted in our culture at face value and it is heresy to challenge it.
What is the real purpose of the statement?
Why must the statement precede criticism of the police?
Is there some police agency that has found the way to seek out good men and women in this corrupt culture and convince them to be officers?
Cops are no different than their neighbors. No better no worse. There are those on the forum who feel compelled to defend the mental image, the naive ideal they call the police. Those agencies and individuals who do that work do not deserve the same respect which must be reserved for true morality itself, love for fellow man.

Some cops are altruistic, like say dentists. True serve and protect types. It’s a small group. Some cops become cops because they are bullies by nature. They are busybodies, tattlers, manipulators, and petty dictators. It’s a small group thankfully. Most cops are common folk who needed a job at the moment the police department was hiring. On the job because they passed the background checks, which is the huge problem with staffing the force, they spend their days collecting revenue for their government and filling out FI Cards and stupid paperwork. Follow procedures! Study your protocols! The protocol is there for your protection! Policies and Procedures! Some of them have to answer to really stupid bosses. Others have fine bosses. Just like the rest of us.

Do I respect what they do? The good ones, yes, if they’re paying attention. But not when I have a toothache. Then I respect dentists!
