Oh well, tight lips on where they plan to remove potentially hundreds or thousands of domestic insurgents
It wont be some revolving door police precinct
The President has the power to declare a National Emergency, in which case he may federalize the National Guard to be dispatched. Otherwise, the States must request it.
I catch your drift...
82nd has no training in arrest.
But have other types of training.
Thanks for your service keeping the roads clear. Dad was in a Pentagon staff slot at the time in a position that was manned 24/7, and I remember he was going in at odd hours (swing or graveyard).
Most of DC is Federal property.... There they can have arrest authority.....

Only place around for a Mass Tac jump is Andrews - and why would they want to lose 5-10% on injuries right out of the gate?
“Toes-Knees-Nose!”
D.C. has had Military Police on the front lines for two nights now.
Why waste the real skills they are trained for?
Got that right
Thank you for your service.
[I hope Trump does not give them ROE that puts our soldiers lives in jeopardy.]
Which would be one of my major reasons for why it's not a good idea. However, I refer you to my original statement: it would look cool if they did.
Airborne All the Way. Wanted to “ surmise” the 82nd of the 60’s is not the Airborne of today. I have lost all trust in our Pentagon of today, they are the ones ultimately giving the marching orders. I do not trust them to unleash the full force of the 82nd. Tying their hands is exactly what I expect of them.Hope I am wrong.
The sh** is about to get real for Antifa, looters and thugs.
Bolling AFB’s runway was closed in the early 1970’s to reduce flight path conflicts with Reagan/Washington National Airport. The fighter squadron based there was moved to Andrews AFB. The Defense Intelligence Agency building, built in the early 1980s was built on the runway where it crossed the boundary between Bolling AFB and Anacostia Naval Air Station. I drove past what is now called Joint Base Anacostia/Bolling for the last 20 years I was in DC and worked on Ft. McNair. Bolling’s three 1930’s era hangars are filled with various base facilities and one is the home the the USAF Band. I believe the only remaining hangar on the Anacostia side is used as a warehouse. There is no real area there to set up prisoner detainment facilities, as the remaining bulk of the base is family housing. Also, Bolling/Anacostia are within the city limits of Washington DC.
“The vermin are still Americans,”
Not really. They’re feral, demon-possessed, swine. Being an American is a state of mind.
A platoon sergeant I had was one of those soldiers with you in the Pentagon. He met one of the secretaries there and later married her. He was close to retirement when I met him at Ft. Hood and he said he was retiring there, that the DC area wasn’t the place he grew up in (born/raised in Fairfax) and had no desire to return.
“more importantly, can they shoot them down like dogs in the street? F*** arresting them. Kill them.”
Yes. Exactly.
