Baden also said he died at the scene. I had read he died an hour later. That should be easy to clear up.

I think only a Doctor can declare a person dead there not EMT.
I remember seeing Floyd moving on the gurney , and it was reported he died later.
They are continually making the point, which has public “impact” but nothing factual about it from the lack of evidence— that he “died at the scene”.
The hired gun shameful attorney Crump (of Trayvon incompetence and Sharpton pile on fame, which shows you who is trying to continue the narrative pre-trial) said today “the ambulance which arrived for Mr.Lloyd was his hearse”.
The anoxia caused by the knee pressure is one thing. The man was declared dead at the hospital, details of which are only a little coming out. There is (as far as is currently known) no evidence that he “died at the scene” which Baden can deduce— he can give an opinion but this is not backed up by any toxicology or clinical witness. The 3rd degree charge turns on this as well as the true longevity of the compression— as is evidentiary determined (the video, eyewitness). My question is— why were other officers just standing around.... once he was handcuffed why the hell keep the compression. No sense to that.
