New surveillance video shows George Floyd in struggle with cops in back of police car BEFORE being pulled out and 'killed' by officer Derek Chauvin

Shocking new surveillance video appears to show George Floyd in a violent struggle with Minneapolis police before his death.

Floyd can't be seen in the footage, but one cop can be seen leaning through the back door and visibly struggling with him.

The clip was posted by activist Shaun King, who wrote: 'BREAKING: Just got this new video. It’s all coming together. Police were in the car beating the sh** out of George Floyd. One stands watch, while the others attacked him.'

Later, white officer Derek Chauvin was captured on video by a bystander kneeling on Floyd's neck as he begged for air.

Floyd, 46, fell unconscious and died, and Chauvin, 44, has since been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which are filed in cases of unintentional death.

Chauvin also was accused of ignoring another officer who expressed concerns about Floyd, a black man, as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

Regarding the approved methods of restraint, see post #1 from the link below.

But as I mentioned there, there is no discussion of TIME. Here’s what I mean. Firemen sometimes use sleeper holds to get unruly people out of burning buildings. But they’d better use that hold for only a very short period of time. Otherwise they would kill the person.

“absolutely. 90% of FR was ready to execute the cop from 5 seconds of video.”

At first I was thinking the officer was not doing anything wrong. After hearing from Police trainers, and other officer, I believe he should change his knee position after the guy appear to stop resisting.

However that is arm chair quarterbacking or hindsight. I do not think the officer should be prosecuted for Murder in the 1st. Manslaugther at the most.

Let it go to court if the evidence proves Manslaughter send him to jail, if not he indecent. That is why we have a justice system.

There were some people who did not want to hear the possibility he was evidence. They will be hear in a soon with angry comments, good luck.

The missing evidence for this case is the body cam from inside the car with audio. That video will be key.

And?

There are people who resist cops and die from it. If Floyd didn’t resist and try to flee the back of the cop car to the point the had to put him on the ground would he still be alive?

Both carotid arteries have to be compressed to stop blood flow to the brain.

Loss of consciousness occurs in seconds when this happens, not minutes.

Yep, 8 mins plus with a knee forcefully pressed upon a suspect’s neck, 2 mins plus of the suspect being literally and physically unresponsive towards the end of that 8 mins plus. Yeah, okie...

No need for snark. I didn't state an opinion. I stated what I read and I asked a question. Either you can answer it.....or not.

Once again Snarky. What does the manual say officers must do when a
suspect is in distress and says he can’t breathe. What section of “the manual” addresses a suspect that is in distress.?
Does the manual say to ignore it and carry on with knee pressure to
the neck.

"Maybe the toxicology report will show that Saint George was also on PCP just like Rodney."

I just spoke to my niece who supervises a lab at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York. They do tests on blood and urine samples all the time to determine substances in the blood stream, and can get results within 48 hours. They may already know Floyd's blood test results, but aren't releasing it for obvious reasons...because it doesn't fit the scenario.

He was taken to the ground for a reason.

He collapsed. Near the end of the clip, after they've walked him across the street, watch how is walking suddenly gets very unsteady, and then just after the 5:20 mark he collapses to the ground which pulls one cop down with him. That's how George Floyd ends up on the ground. He was probably having a heart attack (fits with the autopsy findings), which is why he collapsed, and why he kept saying he couldn't breathe. It probably felt like a ton of bricks was on his chest because of a heart attack.

Video

As I understand it “being restrained” was also listed on the autopsy as cause of death. Perhaps that was referring to the knee to neck restraint. Just guessing.

Thank you. I hadn't seen that.

Do they teach them to put their entire weight on the side of the man’s neck until well after he passes out?

Unreal .
No toxic report .
Autopsy and this video helps the defense .
No evidence just a edited video and
people with small minds jumping to convict.

This points toward a larger issue; that police are not equipped with the correct tools for extracting someone from a vehicle.

If the person is under arrest (easy to video tape), and refuses to comply (also easy to video tape), cuff them to the steering wheel or to the seat mounts and cut the car apart with the Jaws of Life...for their safety. You could even cuff one hand or ankle, throw the chain over the hood to the other side and cuff the other arm or leg.

Treat them as you would with a person with mental disabilities or having a medical episode because they are; they're an Emotionally Disturbed Person (EDP) or someone under the influence of drugs or alcohol and cannot be expected to extricate themselves safely.

Do this to just a few and you'll have people jumping out of their cars to comply.

Was Floyd tased? That would have made things a bit easier for the cops. But I’ve read nothing about that. So if he wasn’t tased, why not?
