MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested days after George Floyd’s fatal arrest that sparked protests and outcry across the city and nation.
On Friday, John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, announced that Chauvin has been taken into custody in connection with the May 25 death.
Chauvin is the former officer in the video seen around the world with his knee on Floyd’s neck. He’d been with Minneapolis police for 19 years.
It was not immediately clear what the expected charges Chauvin could face are.

Probably a prodcut of being a police officer for almost 20 years in a big city where filming of police officers are commonplace, and it was just another day on the job, until it wasn't.

I’m not likely to believe in conspiracies, so this Facebook premise strikes me as being a little outlandish. But it is baffling why this situation happened as it did. None of it makes sense.
This exact same scenario happened on Orange is the New Black. One of the inmates (a black woman) died when an officer sat on top of her neck and she suffocated. The entire next season was a prison riot that took place over 72 hours.

Remember, Romney got four percent of the black vote. Trump got eight. Still a long way to go, but it indicates movement in the Republican direction. That can’t be allowed.
Since then, President Trump has done many things to benefit the black and Hispanic communities, both materially and symbolically (pardoning the late Jack Johnson being a good example of the latter.)
Something had to be done, especially after Biden revealed his racism again, this time to Charlamagne tha God. This murder does the trick, and the fact that they knew they were being filmed and did nothing to prevent either the act or the filming raises suspicions.
The reasons you hear reports about #Antifa is that “protestors” were interviewed on TV last night wearing the kind of masks Antifa wears (and they were white like Antifa too.) Either they’re Antifa or they want you to think they are.

Even if there’s evidence suggesting no criminal wrongdoing (which I sincerely doubt is the case) there’s no way a state prosecutor is gonna withstand the blowback caused by a decision not to prosecute.Regardless of how strong...or weak...the case against the cop might be the DA’s attitude will be “let a jury decide”.
