Cotton is right. Chinese students are controlled by the PLA and basically function as foreign agents of a hostile regime.
I work with higher education. There are many extremely bright American students. At America’s top universities, I see 90% are attracted in some angle of finance. A physics major from MIT or Stanford will have more job offers from Wall Street than from any other industry.
We promote our best youth to move money around. China has trained theirs to be scientifically productive.

We are the STUPIDEST country in the world. We let people come in from anywhere & offer them university-level education almost for free by giving them Graduate Teaching & Research Assistant tuition remissions. It’s insane. Tuition remissions should be limited to US citizens. Period. Let foreign students who want to study here fund their own education & KEEP THEM OUT of sensitive research projects, especially those funded by the federal government.

This is a propaganda newspaper from China. But I hope they are right. We have more Chinese students than from any other country. Many are from the rich and powerful government families. These are not poor kids caught in the middle. They are CCP loyalists or members of their families. We don’t need or want them hear. They are bribes to American schools. And they are learning stem skills to bring back to China. Our schools need to live without Chinese students.
They can virtual school.
