IIRC, Falcon 9 is the rocket, and dragon is the crew module.
Think Saturn V rocket and Apollo capsule.

Dragon is the capsule. Falcon is the rocket that carries the capsule.

Crew Dragon is where the astronauts are. Falcon is the rocket upon which it sits to propel takeoff.
