(CNN) -- If you're getting money from the federal government as part of the recent stimulus response to the coronavirus, you'll also get a letter from President Donald Trump explaining why.
CNN has obtained a copy of the letter signed by the President and sent to recipients of the stimulus payments.
The one-page letter arrives in an envelope from the IRS as part of the Treasury Department, with both postage and fees paid for by the IRS, according to a notice on the envelope.
The letter reads, in part, "We are fully committed to ensuring that you and your family have the support you need to get through this time," and notifies the recipient exactly how much they would receive and how. On the other side of the letter is a translated Spanish version of the same text.
Trump goes on to thank Congress for working with his administration in passing the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), "which I proudly signed into law."

Wow, CNN secretly obtained a top secret document that was mailed to just about every home in America.
Nice photoshopping. ...what? No dig on 0bammy. ...
Nice job either way.
Frame it. Display it. Tape it to your front door.
Got the money two weeks ago (direct deposit), got the letter yesterday. Since it was from IRS was afraid it was notice of an audit.
I got the letter a month after my deposit
> Either delivered to the wrong address or pocketed by the mail person.
A while back we had someone following a ways behind the mail carrier and going through mailboxes. It was posted on a neighborhood forum and they were followed. The Sheriff showed up and took them away.
Meth is bad, mmmkay.
On the other side of the letter is a translated Spanish version of the same text.
How much did that cost?
To praraphrase Andrew Dice Clay, from back in the 1980s:
"If you can't speak the ***something***language, get the ***something** outa da country!"
Mine had a return address on the envelope from the IRS. I just about crapped in my pants. I had visions of audits, under payments, penalties, and fines, all in about 2 seconds.
I tried phoning to solve my problem. I find that you cannot reach ANY Service Rep employee listed on the card, you can not reach ANY employees at ANY IRS phone numbers (national, regional, county or even local offices)....and you cannot reach an IRS or Stimulus Check human being EVER, NEVER, all day, all night.....all you get is endless recorded messages that go round and round back to the beginning no matter what "number" you poke....and you go insane in the effort.
Your tax dollars at work, folks !

Do you have any idea how many old fools are trying to call the IRS?
Good luck with that. Good thing the card doesnt expire.
Sending the letter is a waste of money.
I got an i.r.s. notice in feruary re: 2018 return.
Fax number in the letter has never worked — its been busy FOR TWO MONTHS.
Your right, its your govt at work !!
It looks like a kizinti smile.
