“Active resistance as seen on the camera puts the officers at risk.”
Also puts the public at risk. At that point the police officers do not know the intent of the man. He could have a gun to start shooting with.
Not a cop hater. I saw the very video where the cop had his knee on the neck. The news media is reporting the knee was on the neck for 7 mins. Would like to see the full 7 min video proving this.
That is not a good place to put a knee if you want to keep the person alive to face a judge for what ever crime he committed.
The short video of the man resisting arrest does not justified his death. Maybe we have some body cams to give us more info.
I have never had police training before is this a standard method (knee on neck) for controlling someone?
The officer standing up watching the knee on the neck have the responsibility to tell the other police officer to be careful don’t kill him?
How did the knee get to the neck if is not standard? Did it slid down. I would like to hear the police officer explain this. It might be bad standard practice they use on every suspect who resist arrest. I am not train police officer so I do not know.
Should the news media / public hold the entire police department accountable for bad actions/training of the few?
I understand why they are mad, they should wait to see what the courts do before burning a town and hurting local businesses that did not have anything to do with this.
I can’t answer for every department and every officer. Sorry.
They do it with
Males
Whites
Heterosexuals
Christians
Deplorables
so why stop there?

Please go find it. I will link one later if I find it.
The raw video is around 9 minutes or so, with a couple of minutes being run after the dead man is taken away.
I will note that the man is already on the ground, with a knee in his neck, at the start of the 9 minute video. So 7 minutes is probably short of the true time.
Find the video, watch the video, but be forewarned it is disturbing. Remember you will see a man die before your eyes, with a release of the bowels and everything. All while citizens (including an off duty first responder) begging the police to at least do a check for a pulse after the man goes limp.
I would also like to note, that the whole time your are watching this, it is important to remember that the man is already cuffed.
