Lupus and RA patients do not get viral and stress cardiomyopathies that make the heart much more susceptible to side effects from this drug. Almost every drug that is effective in one arena will make another condition worse

How many COVID patients has HDC killed versus how many it has saved?

Wow, the entire world’s scientific and medical experts have been killing people for 50 years with this drug... Apparently.

How about we stick to the facts and leave the politics out of it

Why should we? How many members of the main stream leftist media are "leaving politics out of it"? And I think a factual inquiry will show that the role of the WHO is largely political.

They took months to decide if the COVID-19 outbreak was a major world health risk, but took days to decide based on one retrospective paper that HCQ was a problem. Hmm. I wonder if that has anything to do with politics.

I would think most doctors treating critically ill patients are smart enough to know that some medications may have additional risks in that situation. So far the results of all of the medications tried have proven to be quite limited for severe cases of COVID-19. Some seem effective if begun early in the course of the disease, but even the Remdesivir results published so far were less than impressive for advanced, severe cases.

read the lancet article. In hospitalized patients it is ineffective I cannot. say I have seen it save anyone. for broader statistics you will have to read the research

Coronavirus: Bad Science (Or Something Worse?) May Well Be Costing Lives

Good video on HCQ use before Covid, and the lack of side effect concerns.

It will turn out to be a combination of treatments unless a magic bullet is found. remdesivir + convalescent plasma is the best we have now but some IL6 inhibitors look promising. The simple truth is there is no support in any study for the use of hydroxychloroquine in hospitalized patients and if Trump hadn’t mentioned it most could accept that and move on. Unfortunately politics are now overshadowing medical research and that’s a shame. I would love to see a cheap effective magic bullet as well but there just is one. life goes on

From Wikipedia about Hydroxychloroquine. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system until now when this Chinese Stooge showed up

Hypothetically:
What is your recommended treatment for managing COVID19 at home to avoid hospitalization?

Does this treatment vary when breathing difficulties are suspected or imminent, and if so how.

This is completely hypothetical. Neither myself nor anyone close to me is experiencing symptoms.

I guess they had to do this, since Gilead Science reported LATE Friday that Remdesivir is a failure....

Cina plays a long game. They are content to sit back, build their strength economically and militarily while quietly using our own glabalist weakness against us. So they buy our industries up while whispering sweet nothings in the ears of policians and industry leaders about their gigantic market which might open up any day now if they will just keep puckering up and kissing chinese butts. They steal our secrets and implant spies into our industries and into the products they sell us. They wait and watch as we commit slow suicide with global warming nonsense (which they ignore) and now shutting down our economy and they strike decisively to take advantage when we do stupid things.

We need to face it, we're in a cold war with China and they are winning because they are actually fighting it and we're pretending they are a friendly nation that will buy all our stuff if we're just super nice to them.

The WHO study was not aimed at finding HCQ efficacious, it was designed to fail with hospitalized patients. The guarantee it would fail is also related to how this virus attacks the ACE2 expression sites on especially endo cells (blood vessels). Waiting to use HCQ until there is thrombosis occurring guarantees the HCQ will not save the patient.

The WHO is just a CCP puppet.

If they said the sky is blue, I’d check.

I am not an outpatient doc so take what I say with a grain of salt. It appears that less than 50% of people even have symptoms and far lmore than 80% will not need medical attention at all. If you are not in a high risk group I would do what you do with any virus. Eat well, sleep well and pay attention to hand hygeine/stay away from high risk people you could spread it to. Treat your symptoms as needed - tylenol for fever, cough suppressant if needed, stay hydrated. Monitor symptoms and if you are worsening, becoming significantly short of breath or symptoms are lasting more than 7-10 days see your pcp or go to urgent care/ER. Of course if you are high risk or otherwise worried seek care right away

cripes...somebody with lupus gets COVID-19...now what?

doesn’t look like zinc was used. Zinc seems to be part of the solution.

What I Learned From Nursing My Husband Through COVID-19
If you or your loved one has just had a diagnosis of COVID-19, your chances of surviving the illness will depend on your ability to gather your resources, make a plan, and adapt.
Martha Campbell

As told to her daughter, Carrie Severino. This article is personal information, not medical advice. Please consult your doctor with any health questions and decisions.

The past two weeks have been a rollercoaster as my husband and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary, learned we were both COVID-positive, spent multiple nights we thought could be our last ones together, and finally received a surreal email from the Kent County Health Department declaring us free and clear of any COVID-related quarantine. We are now allowed to take part in normal life again with “no restrictions” (whatever that means under total lockdown).

My husband Mark and I are both medical professionals: he an oncologist, and I a retired community health nurse. We put all our skills to use in fighting this virus. Here are some of the things we learned that can help you if you or your loved one has just received a positive COVID diagnosis.

Game over for HCQ. No pharmacist in the US will now fill a prescription. Period. Period. Period. (As Biden would say).

My girlfriend still gets her monthly supply, as she has for over a decade now. Usually filled at WalMart.

Trump was taking the magic pair. HCQ weakens covid virus defenses so that zinc can enter and kill it
HCQ
Zinc

For someone actively sick you also need an anti-biotic like Azithromycin or Doxycycline too.

I agree. Any HCQ trial is a vile lie if Zinc and Azithromycin are not also used.
