Judge Sullivan does the equivalent of pasting 'I’m guilty' on his forehead

From the beginning of the Michael Flynn case, Judge Sullivan has been hostile to Flynn. By December 2018, based upon a misreading of the facts, Sullivan accused Flynn of conduct amounting to treason and said that he felt “disdain” and “disgust” for what he believed Flynn had done.

Sullivan’s behavior, however, went from hostile to bizarre when the Department of Justice, having uncovered massive wrongdoing the FBI’s and DOJ’s handling of the Flynn matter, moved to dismiss the case. On Saturday, though, Judge Sullivan managed to escalate from bizarre to . . . well, maybe paranoid is the correct word.

A Motion to Dismiss a criminal case is a routine procedure when the government realizes, for whatever reason, that there is no further reason to prosecute a defendant. Because the Constitution gives the prosecutor sole discretion about whether to bring a case and then, having brought it, whether to miss it, the judge has a limited role – and that role is to protect the defendant.

Thus, it is the judge’s responsibility to make sure that the government isn’t toying with the defendant by dismissing a losing case while intending to refile in the hopes of drawing a more amenable judge or jury. Absent that problem, the judge’s only job is to rubber-stamp the dismissal.

Judge Sullivan refused to use that rubber stamp. He also declined to act as Flynn’s last defense against an overreaching prosecution.

Good thing it looks like he was taking orders from The One. Had he been working for Hillary, he would have already be room temperature.

From the article:
When Sullivan armed himself with a lawyer, he effectively announced to the world that this isn’t just about whether the court will reverse his decision-making or remove him from the case. Instead, Sullivan is worried that the appellate court will look at his conduct, rather than his legal reasoning.

No wonder, then, that a million theories suddenly emerged about his having been bribed to rule as he did, about his possible conflicts of interest, and about his possibly unsavory family connections. You name it, and people thought it – and rightly so because for a judge to hire a lawyer under these circumstances practically screams out that there’s something wrong here.

Here is the $64,000 question. Will he be required to pay for his lawyer out of his own pocket and not out of court funds—same with the other judge he employed? If he has to pay the tab, then I say have at it “here come de judge.” If our justice system can’t arrive at the correct answer in this Flynn case, when the true answer has been revealed, then we do not have a justice system. We have banana republic.

I think the Democrats are telling Sullivan what to do.

Nobody can display more negative emotion than a person who is in the wrong, KNOWS he is in the wrong, and adamantly refuses to either change his attitude or in any way apologize.

Digging in your heels at the appropriate moment, I guess.

If he is a clown and a judge, two Republican presidents are responsible for him being on the bench.

This bizarre tactic by the judge suggests that his motives go beyond bias.

Da Judge forgets that this is not about him. This is about ending Flynn's nightmare brought about by Obamabots like this corrupt fool of a judge.

If he can't explain his own ruling and his legal thinking then he should resign from the bench. He has had a long time watching this fraud on the court proceed.

Got his JD from Howard, not Harvard. Wasn’t even smart enough for the Ivy League AA mill.

His actions are indefensible, but a good lawyer can make an argument over anything. He knows he’s incapable of authoring something that wouldn’t show his ignorance. So he called in a pro.

This is all about running the clock out, for some reason and somebody.

Maybe Flynn has something he can’t reveal while this “case” is pending.

Sullivan is NOT just trying to “save himself”, unless it’s from the people he is working for. He could have dismissed and been free of this. He SHOULD be recommending that charges be pursued against investigators. He is clearly working for someone else in this, and not the Law.

“I think it’s a combination of

2. An overarching desire to protect Obama.”

It is clearly #2.

He’s a leftist.

Furthering their ideological ideals trumps honor, law, truth, right, wrong, proper behavior and anything else.

And it doesn’t matter if they’re sweeping up garbage somewhere or calling themselves a “judge.” They’re corrupt, self-important, dangerous and deluded garbage.

I ran across this yesterday; no idea if it’s true. Also, no information about his kid seems to be anywhere on the internet.

Yet another affirmative-action loser. Could a “judge” be more inadequate, confused and (apparently) compromised? What incredible criminal nitwittery.

He has an undergraduate degree from Howard University and got his law degree from Harvard

His law degree is from Howard University, an HBCU that is one of the lowest ranked law schools in the country, not Harvard. This is the same law school where virtually the entire student body stood up and cheered when the OJ verdict was read. This explains a lot about the "esteemed" Judge Sullivan.

A big premise of the article is that Judge Sullivan has stellar credentials. He does not. I don't know how the author could make such a mistake on a matter that was so easily verifiable.

Is he being blackmailed by a member of the cabal?
