He missed a lot during his senior year, varsity sports, prom, graduation ceremony, but he will have a story to tell. My 80+ father in law has a lot of stories that his father told him about Spanish Flu. He’s afraid to even leave his house. We are encouraging him to get outside.

We are working on that. He is very resistant to change and has dementia which complicates things. He’s not quite ill enough to move with us, but just enough that we have to call him several times a day to make sure he eats and takes meds.
The time is getting near though. He says he prefers to go to assisted living when it’s time but we keep telling him that is a REALLY bad idea. When he spends time here, he eats better (more protein, less carbs) and walks every day and his mental status improves. He helps me on the farm and loves it. Hoping we can convince him to sell his house and move here.
The carbs make a big deal at his age.

I haven’t, I have read the benefits of low carb tho. We all do some form of keto here, and the difference when he’s here even a week is remarkable. It’s a balancing act of respecting his right to eat/do what he wants and stepping in to help. He lost his wife of 54 years a few years back and part of him just wants to eat all the Ice cream, soda, chips and candy he wants even if it means a shorter life. I can understand that.

That's just for this week. I'm sure it will change again. I think it's the CDC's turn to flip flop back to "masks kill" next week. Then Fauci will tell us to wear them again. Hard to keep track these days. 6 weeks ago it was comical. Now it's beyond ridiculous.

It could be the political fallout is worse than they expected, such as UK telling them to bug-off on 5G and Japan making a huge effort to get production out of there. They may have misjudged in that respect.
