Memorial Day Weekend Corona Virus Thread
masks lower the initial viral load.
that determines the severity of the eventual case.
more severe cases will cause more testicular damage and hence lower fertility.
it’s about eliminating ‘undesirable’ y chromosomes from the future...
remember that madonna video about who wasn’t coming to the future? apparently conservatives will willingly deselect themselves from the future.
IMHO, asymptomatic was always the desired goal.
‘a common cold’ that emasculates its target victims. one they likely never even know they had...
meanwhile CCP/PLA have rolled its vaccine into their yearly flu shots...
And how we are to believe Fauci?
Because he has our best interests at heart?
Sure it is. If 1/3 of the meat-packing workers are down, COVID-19 is probably moving freely about the city.
Neurocrit Care Acute Symptomatic Seizures in Critically Ill Patients With COVID-19: Is There an Association?
Patients with COVID-19 disease are at an elevated risk for seizures, and the mechanism of these seizures is likely multifactorial. Clinical (motor) seizures may not be readily detected in this population due to the expansive utilization of sedatives and paralytics for respiratory optimization strategies. Many of these patients are also not electrographically monitored for seizures due to limited resources, multifactorial risk for acute encephalopathy, and the risk of cross-contamination. Previously, several neurological symptoms were seen in patients with more advanced COVID-19 disease, and these were thought to be secondary to multi-system organ failure and/or disseminated intravascular coagulopathy-related brain injury. However, these patients may also have an advanced breakdown of the blood-brain barrier precipitated by pro-inflammatory cytokine reactions.

Re: 507
Risk is manageable. Always been, always will be.
Regardless of risk, people need to go back to work. If it means they dress up in full PPE, then that’s what needs to happen.
You stats assume that that the risk is some of the worst possible outcomes.
I don't believe Fauci. He is a lying Deep State scum.
Maybe you should re-read my post.
I have said over and over that I dont believe in extended lockdowns.
My post is in response to the people out there saying they should NOT have to wear any PPE, but instead all the at risk people should just stay home.
My point is that is not feasible, there are too many at risk people in the US for all of them to stay home.
Maybe, I should have put a /s tag after my first sentence.
Just heartbreaking:
Young nurses death highlights questions about COVID-19 pandemics true toll

Just wondering.
All the non maskers use Fauci’s advice as a go to apparently now.
If he thinks masks don’t work and we won’t have a second wave...I’m stocking up on masks and toilet paper right now. Because second wave is guaranteed and masks prevent the woowoo.
There are a LOT of at risk 40 somethings.
They want us to starve apparently, so they can do what they want with no concern for anyone but themselves.
And the continued lack of any information on MORBIDITY while focusing exclusively on MORTALITY makes me (and a lot of other people) suspicious.

Interesting article from 2016.
If you look at the banner picture, that’s the Ginza in march of 2016 ish.
Roughly the time of year the woowoo struck there in force.
The pic from ‘16 shows a bunch of people wearing masks to prevent issues with pollen during allergy season. Betcha that had something to do (along with everyone who COULD work from home WORKING from home) with the lack of crap show in Japan.
Also really CUTE lace covered mask with bows and decorations.
She had childhood asthma.
Clearly she asked for it.
(do I really need the s?)
Re: 529
Yes, you have been very consistent in opposing one-size-fits-all lockdowns.
Agreed on all at risk people just staying home. I know of several at risk workers that are going into work. They mitigate the risk and off they go. Of the few that I know, no one has gotten sick.
I think one of the problems with PPE in bernal and masks in particular is that the CDC has a big credibility problem. They are hard to believe at times (pay, much of the time).
My husband fits one of the at risk groups, he wears a mask. He is one of those who swore he would NEVER EVER EVER wear a mask. So I am shocked that he is. But he does because he wants to protect his customers, employees and family.
So, he tried a lot of masks and found one he can tolerate. It is not the best, but it is better than nothing and allows him to breathe. He compensated for the lower filtration by putting a bigger distance between him and others. He has moved his workspace outside and thats where he is on sunny days.
Aerosol Scientist: COVID-19 Is Likely Airborne
By Brenda Goodman, MA

May 27, 2020 — Something has been bothering Kimberly Prather, PhD: Everything she reads about COVID-19 points to a pathogen that travels through the air.
Theres how quickly it has spread around the world, studies showing how it spreads through restaurants (maybe by the air conditioning system?), how it attacked a church choir even though they were spread apart while they were singing, how it seems to spread like wildfire on planes and on cruise ships; all of this, she says, Prather should know. She studies aerosols — particles so tiny they float freely through the air, traveling feet or even miles. She runs a large, government-funded research center at the University of California San Diego to study how viruses and other things that come out of the ocean float through the air.
A lot of the evidence has been pointing to aerosol transmission of respiratory viruses, she says. Influenza can be passed through the air, as can the virus that causes SARS. This particular virus, a lot of evidence is mounting.
Prather says shes been alarmed not to see the CDC or WHO come out with a strong statement that people could catch COVID-19 by breathing it in.
