Coronavirus lockdowns have 'destroyed millions of livelihoods' but failed to alter the course of the pandemic given many US states have seen lower infection rates after easing restrictions, a JP Morgan study has claimed. The statistical analysis has raised questions about the effectiveness of the lockdowns put in place across much of the United States two months ago to stop the spread of COVID-19. It suggests that the lockdown measures have not only resulted in economic devastation but could have also resulted in more COVID-19 deaths.

Time for Neil Ferguson, Anthony Fraud Fauci and Birx, the Scarf Queen to be EXPOSED for what they all are....DEMOCRAT COUP PLOTTERS! even though Ferguson is NOT an American.
Ridiculous means it should be ridiculed.

To the uniparty any level of collateral damage is acceptable as long as it gets rid of evil orange man.
According to the DM writer, it doesn't actually show results; it's just a claim. Not much better than anecdotal, I suppose.
That’s why we will likely see major re-openings in California by the end of June 2020 at latest. Hollywood and the amusement park industry are starting to grumble, and given California’s reliance on tourism....
My Governor in New Hampshire Chris Sununu is turning out to be a giant lib rino. Its 80 out and we cant use the beaches on our coast. Restaurants have to use outside seating with the bugs. Its getting ridiculous. I hope he loses in November and republicans get the state house and state senate. Then maybe in 2022 we can get a real Republican. His dad had a tiff with Trump during the primaries in 2016 and I feel like this is Sununu trying time help Biden win the state.
California is gonna be a tough sell to fly-over nation and the east coast.
Time is one factor as flying ain’t to pretty and the drive is long.
The Politburo in CA. is another big factor.
The crowd rooting for the virus is deeply saddened.
Some may be right here.
Wanna end the lockdowns in a heartbeat? Tell the bastards we're gonna prorate our property tax for the year to match the number of weeks we're locked down.
After all, schools are closed. We're barely using the roads. Why shouldn't we expect property taxes to drop accordingly?
Possibilities include:
Nobody is rooting for the virus.
Don’t be ridiculous.
The debate is about whether to pretend the virus doesn’t exist or isn’t that bad, or to take precautions to prevent it’s spread.
ABC news on the radio has been breathlessly reporting that 20 somethings at barbecues in Oregon are leading a spike in new cases.
If liberals actually cared about old people they would have restricted access to Nursing Homes, and sent away any employee who came to work with a fever. But no, they shut down economies to make Trump look bad to the stupid voter.
“Given the great uncertainty at the time the initial lockdowns might have been warranted but what is going on in some states is ridiculous.”
I think that is a fair take.
This is more than the flu but, it isn’t the black death
Agree.
There was a time it was prudent to at least try the lock down.
That time is WAY behind us.
“lock downs” and “social distancing” are not the same thing. But even a very temporary lock down can have a legitimate public policy goal to stun a potential surge, allow for analysis to observe what is actually going on in real time, then formulate a plan for response. That is how it was used in some places, but not in many others...after observing in real time what is going on and how to respond, they don’t budge or even alter the course.
And some places that did “lock downs” had Democrat governors that ordered COVID19 patients into nursing homes, skyrocketing deaths by spreading infections among the most vulnerable population.
Not Texas. There has been a large increase in cases. There was a chart posted this morning. I tried but couldn’t get it to post.
Bunches of new cases in the Amarillo area that are meat packing related.
Also know of some that were confirmed and posted by local LEO or from the city but haven’t shown up on the Johns Hopkins site.
