Any reasonable person would expect a flurry of phone calls from the Russians when the US President expels a bunch of diplomats with only 22 days to go in the President’s term.
It is my belief that Obama intentionally did the Dec 29, 2016 Russian Sanction/Expulsion just to see if they could trap the Trump Transition Team into saying something to the Russians while Obama was monitoring all the phones.
