Comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan has signed a multiyear licensing deal with music streaming service Spotify reported to be worth more than $100 million to move his podcast exclusively to Spotifys platform.
Variety reports that Joe Rogan, popular comedian and host of the Joe Rogan Experience, has signed a deal with Spotify to move his podcast exclusively to the Spotify platform. The podcast will debut on Spotify on September 1 on a non-exclusive basis but will become exclusive to the Spotify platform later in the year under the multiyear licensing deal.
Rogans podcast currently ranks as the second most popular show on Apple Podcasts, after Barstool Sports Call Her Daddy whose hosts have been embroiled in an ongoing controversy. According to a source, Rogan was sold on the deal with Spotify after becoming confident in the platforms ability to build his audience worldwide.
Rogan wrote in an Instagram post: The podcast is moving to @spotify! It will remain FREE, and it will be the exact same show. Its just a licensing deal, so Spotify wont have any creative control over the show. They want me to just continue doing it the way Im doing it right now.
Rogan stated that clips of the show will continue to be shared on YouTube but full versions of the show will only be on Spotify after the end of the year. Im excited to have the support of the largest audio platform in the world and I hope you folks are there when we make the switch!

Joe Rogan regularly has podcast views that reach even the Tens of Millions of views.
I believe that this move will be a large punch to the guy for YouTube.
For your interest.
Ping.
"to the GUT for YouTube".
Can't believe I missed that.
Interesting. Thanks for posting.
Thx you FRiend :)
Let's see how long that lasts.
Great!
All the good content creators should abandon that ship.
Ain't nobody gonna tell Joe what to do.
For anyone who dismisses Rogan, he gets more eyes on his THREE HOUR podcasts per month than any interviewer in the history of television. Carson, Letterman, Leno, King, Fallon, anyone. And it’s not even close. This guy has a huge effect on today’s young people.
Spotify BANNED conservatives Dennis Prager and Cory Bernardi on their platform.
I thought everyone here knew they’re anti American.
See him pop up a lot. Is he any good?
Im 41 one and with me and my age group, Rogan is BY FAR the most watched.
How does this affect conservatives and MAGA?
He's probably got a bigger audience than CNN or MSNBC. Apple's just recently simplified accessing Spotify from iOS devices, Rogan's already on Apple Podcasts.
And he said he would vote for Trump over a demented sleepy, creepy, deepy statey Biden.
“For anyone who dismisses Rogan, he gets more eyes on his THREE HOUR podcasts”
and? Just because you have a million subscribers, I’d listen? Sure some of his guests piqued my interest but if I follow your concept “lots of listeners, hey guys let’s listen in” narrative..then we should be following the Kardashians?

Even though Joe’s a bit of a lefty, after watching the latest Biden meltdowns, he said he would rather vote Trump.
Newsradio, the late 90’s sitcom, is on one of the cable channels. I’ve been watching a lot during lockdown. His character, Joe Garrelli, is a crack up.
