WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican political operatives are recruiting “pro-Trump” doctors to go on television to prescribe reviving the U.S. economy as quickly as possible, without waiting to meet safety benchmarks proposed by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.
The plan was discussed in a May 11 conference call with a senior staffer for the Trump reelection campaign organized by CNP Action, an affiliate of the GOP-aligned Council for National Policy. A leaked recording of the hour-long call was provided to The Associated Press by the Center for Media and Democracy, a progressive watchdog group.

This line from the article tells it all:
“Experts, including Fauci, have said that is likely an undercount, with the true number being much higher. Meanwhile, Trump has suggested, without providing evidence, that the official death toll from the virus is being inflated.”
ONLY President Trump is called on for “evidence”. His critics aren’t.
What opinion is that?
I’ve been a pro-Trump doctor since June 2015. But the idea that I would express an opinion I don’t hold about my work because a “Republican operative” asked me to do it?
That’s disgusting.
So were they wiretapping WH officials to get this scoop? Or do they have a mole or a plant working with that group who is funneling them this info? And did they do this kind of crap during Zero’s “reign?”

Keep in mind that anybody that isn’t a flaming liberal is to be described as a “Republican Operative”. The media has a war on Hydroxychloroquine and it’s time for doctors to speak up. In order to slander the outspoken doctors, they will frame them as responding to “Republican Operatives”. In the meantime, HCQ is effective, but is being denied in some areas due solely to politics.

God isn’t a tyrant - He is very kind, caring, patient, and loves to bless people! I think the part of the modern Hippocratic Oath you refer to is the sentence, “Above all, I must not play at God,” in reference to a physician having the power to take a life and the responsibility of the physician to face it with great humbleness and awareness of his or her own frailty. Honestly, the “at” in this sentence in the Oath throws me (it’s probably inserted for secular purposes) and I prefer this sentence as, “Above all, I must not play God.”

That's how snide propagandists work. He imputes a motive to Trump and his allies (get the doctors to lie), when a straightforward reading of the article would suggest Trump's allies are looking for doctors who agree that the present lockdowns don't work to counter the doctors who do. But he invents a strawman interpretation to cast aspersions on Trump and his allies. That's why he should be ignored; not because he disagrees with Trump, but because he is dishonest about what Trump is trying to accomplish.
For the record, I’m no longer participating in the pandemic.
