President Trump reignited the media firestorm over his endorsement of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) as a prophylactic against and treatment for coronavirus, revealing in response to question that he is currently taking the drug and has been doing so for about two weeks.
To my eyes, he appeared to relish the bewilderment and outrage that immediately started brewing among the media facing him. Watch all four minutes for yourself:
I happened to be watching Neil Cavuto’s Fox News show when the program cut away to President Trump answering reporters’ questions following his meeting with restaurant industry executives, and so had the experience of watching a NeverTrumper go low immediately after the questions ended. Via Breitbart:
“A number of studies, those certainly vulnerable in the population have one thing to lose, their lives,” Cavuto said on his program following President Trump’s announcement. “A VA study showed that among a population of veterans in a hospital receiving this treatment, those with vulnerable conditions, respiratory conditions, heart elements, they died.”
“Those who took it, in a vulnerable population, including those with respiratory or other conditions, they died,” the Fox Business Network host continued. “I want to stress again — they died. If you are in a risky population here and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus or, in a worst-case scenario, you are dealing with the virus, and you are in this vulnerable population, it will kill you. I cannot stress that enough. This will kill you.”
“So again, whatever benefit the president says this has — and certainly has had for those suffering from malaria, dealing with lupus — this is a leap that should not be taken casually by those watching at home

If the media actually believed hydroxycholorquine could be fatal to President Trump, they would be cheering and applauding his taking it.

I am waiting for him to take a dose during his new conference and watching the heads explode.

I could tell in his Maria Bartiromo interview that Dr. Tony had gotten on Trump’s last nerve. I think contradicting him on schools reopening was the last straw.
You know, aside from the benefit of prophylactic protection from CV, and making a point about the safety of the medication... I'd guess the whole "...relish the reaction..." might be 50% (or more) of the reason he's doing it.
President Trump personifies "living rent free" in someone else's head.
He owns the leftist media. He knows it, they know it, and there is not a damn thing they can do about it. They have to do the things that they do - it defines them.
Being predictable puts you at the mercy of your opponent, and the leftist MSM is entirely predictable within very small confines.
There is probably some significant positive news about to break on the efficacy of the medication. President Trump lets it be known he is taking it - MSM predictably goes ape...bam, news drops and the left looks like horses' backsides, again...

Cavuto can’t hide the sneer every time he even mentions Trump’s name. I put him in the same category as Donna Brazile or Marie Harf, that is, I switch the channel when they’re on, or due to come on.

Seems all MSM Minions forget to mention zinc and Azith. Just like they leave out "illegal" before "immigration" when talking of Trump and immigration.

That flawed study showed that the mortality rate was the same for patients who did NOT take HCQ. That means those who who did NOT take it, who were in a vulnerable population, including those with respiratory or other conditions, died.
Putz.
This a must see and a potential as to how and why POTUS is taking this...
They are mad because they were trying to infect him and he prevented that!
You know, hearing about all these ancillary staff members getting it and then VP Pence disappearing for a number of days, (Remember what they did to Cheney on the day of 9/11, think) and talk of how "they" were hoping for POTUS Pelosi doesn't make what you said out of the question....
