Every morning at a few minutes after 10 a.m. Dakar time, an official from Senegal's Health Ministry walks calmly to a podium, usually with a face mask pulled across his or her face so there's no visual clue as to whether the days COVID-19 case count is good news or cause for worry. The official reaches the microphone and begins a routine that has become a daily staple in Senegal since outbreak began here in early March.
First, the official lists the results of yesterday's COVID-19 tests. (In Senegal, test results are routinely known within 24 hours). In a monotone voice, the official reads off multiple figures number of new cases, the number of those new cases who were known contacts (so already in isolation), the number who were infected by community transmission, the number of recovered patients, and more.
More than two months into the outbreak the country of almost 16 million people has registered more than 2,400 positive cases and 25 deaths.
As people watch, they chime in on Facebook with emoji-laden comments: "Almost 1,000 sick, that is scary ...."49 recovered "... "It's time for us to learn how to live with COVID-19 as we do with malaria, HIV, hypertensions. if not it will be a catastrophe. We cannot rest at our homes anymore. Two months is too long."
[SNIP]
And part of the country's current treatment plan includes the controversial strategy of treatment with the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine, backed by Dr. Moussa Seydi, head of infectious and tropical medicine at Dakar's Fann Hospital despite warnings from the World Health Organization about the potential risks and dangers of using such untested medicines.
So far, officials in Senegal say they have kept the numbers low enough to stick the strategy of a bed for every case

Why is it controversial? Because liberals have to screw around with everything?
Imagine it being controversial for Africans to take a malaria drug?
If one doesn’t understand that this is all part of the Deep State takeover bid, then one is completely out of the loop. I’ve stopped presenting rationalized arguments against this lunacy, because I refuse to acknowledge the validity of this response to the disease in EVERY phase other than normal medical protocols used for every other medical disease. Period.
RE: Imagine it being controversial for Africans to take a malaria drug?
Controversial only when used against Covid-19, but not Malaria.
So Senegal is determined to mercilessly slaughter their population like sheep?
(/liberal)
When the covid dose is lower and lasts 7 days
These countries hopefully are looking at ivermectin....single dose
Already use if for parasites
RE: So Senegal is determined to mercilessly slaughter their population like sheep?
Yes, unwittingly killing them with good intentions /s

I am very interested in this. Especially in regards to:
1) How much it costs to treat a Covid-19 patient.
2) Whether it is used alone or in combination with other drugs/minerals
3) Its efficacy compared to other treatments ( e.g. Hydroxychloroquie + azithromycin + zinc ).
4) Its AVAIABILITY. How many companies make ivermectin and how scaleable is the production capacity?
The more effective weapons in our arsenal, the better.
It actually makes sense. Liberals banned DDT. That caused a huge resurgence in malaria in - Africa! And who did it kill? Africans, mostly black Africans. And who do liberals hate so much that they try to kill as many of them as possible here in America? Blacks! There is a strong consistency here and it is very ugly.
More DDT use than one might expect:

Yes, can’t get my mind around that, so illogical Spock is spinning in his grave.
The human formulation is called Stromectol and used in humans to treat scabies and headlice. Several months ago you could order it OTC to be shipped...but not now.
It virtually stopped river blindness in Africa, with a single dose.
Sold as ivermectin OTC for animal use, but that is tightening up, the pill version is being swept off the shelfs
Just look up ivermectin and coronavirus studies, plenty online
You can buy enough ivermectin to treat a 1250 pound horse for $7....not that humans should use drugs sold for animals
Ivermectin now cited in the Eastern Virginia Medical School treatment protocol which I keep following for updates

Yes, they think they know it all.
Thanks. Will look it up.
Makes me wonder what will happen to it if Trump were to mention it in his press conference....
Hopefully he will not
Isnt it sad that the left wing media and science experts will let and abet people to suffer and die instead of letting them and their doctors decide to practice battlefield medicine in this war.....because of hatred for Trump
I figure the whole rest of the world will have to end up using these therapies Like hydroxy while Americans get weeks of suffering, debilitating lifelong complications, and ventilators that help kill 80% of the patients
Meanwhile, have a gin and tonic with your daily zinc pill
