This has been reported before.
If I recall correctly, the killer had planned this carefully and went to condsiderable lengths to conceal himself in the woodlands, probably intending to make this a drawn-out confrontation and take some LEOs with him. But the cops were fortunate to track him down with the drone and, when he realised they weren't going to play along with his grand schemes, he topped himself.
