McIlroy continued, unprompted, by saying Trump has tried to politicize the pandemic, using as an example Trump claiming the U.S. has administered the most tests for the new coronavirus than any other nation.
“Like it’s a contest,” McIlroy said. “There’s some stuff that just is terrible. It’s not the way a leader should act. There is a bit of diplomacy that you need to show, and I just don’t think he’s showing that, especially in these times.”
The hosts, Scottish golf journalists Lawrence Donegan and John Huggan, asked McIlroy if he would play with Trump again.
“I don’t know if he’d want to play with me again after what I just said,” McIlroy said. “I know it’s very self-serving of me to say ‘No,’ and if I don’t, then it means I’m not putting myself in position to be under scrutiny and that I’m avoiding that.
“But no, I wouldn’t.”

Does this guy get his news from the main stream media? Has he paid attention to the press conferences and the gender by the press at them? Has he seen the US press echoing Chinese propaganda from the Chinese media? Has he seen governors and mayors shutting down town cities for up to a year? Has he seen Democrats trying to create efforts to harvest ballots nationwide?

Has he been paying attention to what Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have done? Has he paid attention that the Democrats are trying to shut down the government again and again? Whether it is with investigations into Ukraine Russia why Trump didn’t act fast enough on the pandemic, or shutting it down because we can’t come in to work on approving his judges?
Did he see Nancy tear up trumps State of the Union address saying there was not a bit of truth in it?
Maybe he should skip all tournaments in the USA because it was we golf fans, among others, who elected Trump! iow.stay home.

He is a professional golfer. One of the youngest and most successful for his age in the history or the professional game. But golf is all he knows. Why he felt compelled to come out with these opinions now is a mystery.

Trump reached out to Iran to help them. Although they turned him down. Trump reach out to a lot of countries and is offering testing knowledge and ventilators. I don't understand his issue.
Does know Trump was (and still is) criticized for not having enough test. So Trump mentions it to show we are, and this idiot complains??? And this Rory isn't a citizen.
DJT would never proclaim superlatives if the media would at least do it for him some of the time. They never do; in fact they make fake claims about how other countries do far more of this n that than the US (i.e., they always try to contrast the inferiority of Trump as over against the superior, more enlightened, rest of the world). That leaves him the choice: a) let it ride (like W did), or b) go on offense.
