I live in Washington State. I take the virus seriously as we are taking care of four elderly people (shopping, doctor visits, etc.).

I’m not sure how I would handle it if I got the virus and was really sick. I’m already taking lots of precautions to keep myself healthy, and in case I am sick and don’t know it yet - to keep others from getting it. Even the checkout gal that I used to see 2x a week before and she knows my name - she doesn’t even recognize me with my getup. I doubt some cop would be able to pick me from a photo.

BTW - once a week I go shopping for me and my wife and the four elderly people. Usual outing is a trip to the pharmacy, then to Costco, then to the grocery store. From the time I leave my house to getting home it is about 3 hours.

Then I decontaminate the groceries and take a shower. That is 45 minutes to an hour. Change into clean clothing and take the groceries to the elderly people. By the time I get home I’ve put in 4.5 to 5 hours or more depending on what small chore one of the elderly might want.

I bet Inslee’s personal valet doesn’t go to the effort that I take in an attempt to keep our elderly people safe. And good luck trying to find some state-mandated worker to do it for me.

FUJI.

By the way - he is going WAY TOO SLOW in opening things up. “Phase 1” is opening up stuff that should have never been shut down in the first place. (State parks, fishing, boating, golfing, etc.)

I live just south of you in the Peoples’ Republic of Oregon. Both my daughters and their families live in WA, and they are also being very careful. Oregon has really dodged a bullet with the number of cases we’ve had, my county is opening up today. A lot of locals are unhappy, as we are coastal, and there will be a lot of inlanders who are wanting to “go to the beach”.

I don’t shop in the store anymore, I use the Fred Meyer pickup. Decontaminating took so much time that I set aside the non perishable groceries for 4 days. Any virus on that would hopefully be dead after 4 days. The rest of the groceries that are perishable I sterilize by using a professional wand with UV light.

I hate that these rat elected arses think they can open and close things as if they owned them, but apparently we’re letting it happen.
