Taiwan Semiconductor Manuf... (TSM)
Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM), a major supplier to Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM), has confirmed plans to build a $12B chip factory in Arizona as the U.S. tries to wrestle global supply chains back from China.
The plant, which would create over 1,600 jobs, will produce the most sophisticated 5 nanometer chips that can be used in high-end defense and communications devices.
The Trump administration is also in talks with Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) about new foundries. While the company has major manufacturing operations in the U.S., it supplies only its own chips rather than making them for outside customers.

Thanks Swordmaker.
Thanks for providing the answer to your own question. Its always nice to find someone who does the heavy lifting instead of me. GRIN!
Good news, thanks.
Ha! Now you know in case someone else asks.
Why, so I do.
Obviously I am never going to patronize Apple or buy an iPhone. But just off the top of me head, and knowing how Apple obsessives demand the best..... My guess (if you read back) was that the Apple A13 Bionic was in between an i3-i5 mobile and closer to an i5 mobile. So I was just off slightly because in fact it is equivalent to an i5 mobile. Which is very impressive because this years i5 mobile runs very cool compared to a few years ago, but still needs a fan. While Apple A13 Bionic does not and is so much smaller. It even has LTE on chip (lol)
Intel Core i5-8250U vs Apple A13 Bionic...benchmarks say they are roughly equal.
