It was a Republican seat for over 20 years and Knight should never have lost it in 2018. Getting it back shouldn’t be a big surprise and now Garcia needs to hang on to it for another 20 years at least.
This was a one-off election... Too much scrutiny for cheating. Not so in the general in November. This special election should not be an excuse to ease up... Kalifornia Republicans had better damn well have a ballot harvesting plan.
Im a born and raised Californian, Id hope that MAYBE MAYBE this was an awakening but I doubt it, LA County is overwhelmingly commie, illegal alien stronghold..other parts of CA are Conservative but LA County and of course SF are commie so CA has no chance but I will gladly eat my words if something different happens in November

What’s very important in the electorate right now is women - as they have been since the 19th amendment was passed at the start of the 20th century
Women have been taught over and over by the Democrats to just vote for the woman no matter what because women are smarter or whatever

It is wrong to project this result (and the one in Wisconsin) into the general election to be held in six months. A lot can happen in that time. However, the results probably suggest that if the election were held today, the Democrats would suffer a big beat-down across the country. Right now, the momentum is on our side.
If he can win again in November, it’s really a big __ckin’ deal, as Biden would say. It’s kind of a big deal anyway. The GOP needs all the spine it can find. This should give them some courage.
