Heres a fact that ought to startle every American who assumes that because we spend nearly $1 trillion each year on defense, we have primacy over our emerging rival, China.
Over the past decade, in U.S. war games against China, the United States has a nearly perfect record: We have lost almost every single time.

Well, China does have seven brothers who can swallow the ocean, rendering our Navy (and theirs) somewhat ineffective.
We already lost the war, but Trump has tried to rally people to fight back. He and we are finding out that nearly every institution is in the hands of our actual overlords. All Trump has is *us*.
Bozos WashingtonCompost composting bullcrap again
People talk technology when talking war with China. They fail to see 1300 million Chinese against our 300 million. We have the millennial generation, they don’t.
Yep. I have no doubt we are as vulnerable as described, with Congress and the Pentagon’s penchants for protecting dated cash cows making us an easy target, while from Clinton on we of course gave them access to the advanced technology they would use against us.
But when it comes to the prescription of cheap alternatives to simply stop China from dominating us—that’s as much a sellout as any recommendations out there.
China’s central bank could make Wal-Mart shelves and Amazon warehouses nearly empty.
Once that happens, the hombres y mujers that actually work in the USA will head home.
Luke 14:31 "Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and take counsel whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
Luke 14:32 "Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks terms of peace.
I have watched video after video of conflicts between criminals and the police. It is always the numbers that matter, not necessarily the fire power. The police always arrive with overwhelming numbers. Even in the FBI shootout in Florida years ago, the FBI numbers are the only reason they killed those two guys. Sadly, few regard the Bible anymore. Never mind...
Don’t think so. If you read the work of Peter Zeihan, one of the foremost experts on geostrategical stuff, China is in deep doo.
We vastly downplay the fact that they are sealed in to the east by a string of island enemies, each with ground-to-air and ground-to-sea capabilities that would drastically winnow any Chinese fleet seeking to escape. The Chicoms are already very concerned about their Silk Road, which is going to be scotched due to the China Virus, and their ability to get oil in the Gulf is paper thin.
Can the Chicom navy break out? Sure. At phenomenal cost, only to then be confronted by the 7th Fleet (and, by then, others).
As for fanatical nationalism, Gordon Chang argues this is long a thing of the past. They aren’t yet the east Europeans longing for American style freedom, but they are getting there.
Oh, and did I mention they are aging rapidly? In just NINE YEARS the US will be a younger nation than China. Bad geography, no oil, and surrounded by enemies isn’t the best situation from which to start a war. Ask the Germans.
do you honestly think in war games that either side brings their A game? Or is it more likely that they are using the war games as a gauge of the enemy’s capabilities? Were I an admiral or general working on a war game with a potential enemy, i would certainly use my third string strategies and people. Humiliation in a test scenario is preferable to humiliation when its real.
Most people do not understand the purpose of ‘war games’, least of all are the leftists like the idiot ignatious.
Bad geography, no oil, and surrounded by enemies isnt the best situation from which to start a war. Ask the Germans.
Germany expected negotiated peace after conquests. Japan expected negotiated peace after conquests.
libs expect negotiated peace after conquest.
But what happens after negotiated peace? they still want more.
Yes, the shortest naval war in history would be China vs the US. They know it.
Where exactly would this war take place?

Should have stopped them at the dinner roll in hindsight is always clear. Stopping at the dinner roll is hard and takes a real leader.
I’ve stopped a few things at the dinner roll, not easy.
Well if their infrastructure and “Made In China” stuff we import is any indication of their quality of product I don’t think we have to worry their equipment will perform the same.
nonetheless it is true that Communist China is an implacable enemy of the West and an aggressive one at that. Their intentions are offensive not defensive, which is a lethal misunderstanding which This writer perpetuates.
Pretty easy to look around and see how many of our politicians the CCP already own.
We surrender to the flu. Anyone really think our feminized culture is up for a real war?
When & how did the chicoms obtain launch capability as well as nuclear weapons? Wasn’t it under clintoon that Loral fixed their launcher and LANL “donated” hard drives with weapons designs? Ain’t the commiecrats wonderful people??? The complicit repubs must also be included in that list.
Yes, Loral Space run by Clinton’s largest donor, Bernie Schwartz, if I am not mistaken. The technology Clinton allowed to be transferred despite being warned by the Intelligence agencies who refused to sign off on it was said to have advanced their missile program anywhere from 15-20 yrs or more.
He managed to get it done by transferring authority to the Commerce Dept and they signed off on it.
Loral was subsequently fined 14 million dollars for the transfer but by then the damage was done.
