READ: Watergate prosecutors' request to file opinion in Flynn case
The Hill ^ | 05 13 2020 | Staff

Posted on 05/13/2020 7:48:03 AM PDT by yesthatjallen

Sixteen former Watergate prosecutors this week asked to file a friend-of-the-court brief weighing in on the case of former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

"The Watergate Prosecutors ... are uniquely suited to help ensure a fair presentation of the issues raised by the government’s motion" to dismiss the case, the group's request states.

Flynn's attorneys oppose the request.

The group's motion was temporarily denied by the judge, who will determine whether to grant a request by the Department of Justice to drop charges against Flynn.

The left accuses you of doing what they themselves have done or are doing.

Now they drag Watergate prosecutors into this?

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Sen. Josh Hawley called for a special counsel to conduct a “full-fledged” investigation into the Obama administration.
“The more we learn, the worse it looks which is why we need a full investigation,” the Misouri Republican told “Fox & Friends.”

Hawley observed that the Obama administration took "unprecedented action to spy on the 2016 Trump campaign."

When that failed, they egregiously "misled the FISA court".....a malignant govt-sponsored effort to destroy Trump's presidency.

============================================

Stunning revelations are emerging thanks to the steadfastness of the beleaguered Gen Flynn,
the DNA of top-ranking Obama officials are all over Obama's "get Trump any which way you can."

THIS WE KNOW: A former Obama flunkie in Hillary's State Dept observed:
<><> vengeful Democrats hamstrung future presidents by establishing the Trump impeachment quid pro quo thingie,

<><> stupid Dems even jerked themselves into constitutional ramifications (which Obama is now worried about?).

<><> Multiple reports allege that Ukrainian officials, under a previous Ukrainian president, partnered with the DNC in 2016 to “sabotage Trump.”

<><> “Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump.”

<><> A paid DNC consultant, Alexandra Chalupa, met with Ukrainian officials in 2016

<><> The Ukrainian/Demcrat joint efforts were astoundingly successful:

<><> the partnership advanced the Democrap delusion that Trump was deeply connected to Ukraine’s arch-foe to the east, Russia

Watergate affected Republican election chances bigtime.

Obamagate has the potential of dealing a history-making death blow to Democraps.

The Trump coat-tail effect has already started.

Two special elections...in Commie-fornia and Wisconsin had two Republicans winning BIG in heavily Democrat states.

Wins in the awesome 56/57% plus range over their leftist rivals.

And dont forget Trump slaughtered Biden in a third race-—a prez primary race.......that’s three for three.

Sullivan already blew this case up by not determining materiality when accepting Flynn guilty plea. It’s a required element and the court transcript clearly shows Sullivan wasn’t satisfied.

The case is over now or on appeal but it’s over.

I’m not a lawyer, but it would seem like that Flynn (if the judge does anything really stupid)...can then sue the judge for civil action, and taking away his civil rights.

Sidney Powell’s response.

Sullivan is going to what he is going to do. He’s going to sit on this until he starts to feel some pressure, and the various stuff before him is NOT creating pressure.

The government’s motion to dismiss, the one filed afte Team Mueller was kicked off the case, that one took them by surprise. One hell of an opening move.

It caused Sullivan to clearly expose that he is a partisan hack, as if calling Flynn a traitor was not enough.

The Public’s Interest? Why amicus? It will be interesting to hear Barrs’ response? I cannot believe he is not ahead of this game.

Accordingly: “solely within the court’s discretion to determine the fact, extent, and manner of the participation.”
“An amicus brief should “
1 normally be allowed when a party is not represented competently or is not represented at all,
2 when the amicus has an interest in some other case that may be affected by the decision in the present case (though not enough affected to entitle the amicus to intervene and become a party in the present case),
3 or when the amicus has unique information or perspective that can help the court beyond the help that the lawyers for the parties are able to provide.

And
“while there may be individuals with an interest in this (game) matter, a criminal proceeding is not a free for all.”

Isn’t it remarkable how they knew in advance that Judge Sullivan would, in violation of all precedent, be inviting outside opinions in a Federal criminal case?

Judge Sullivan has already slapped down Judge Sullivan on the amicus brief thingee 24 times, as Sidney Powell points out in her filing.
