On Wednesday May 6 2020, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported that Gregory McMichael, a former law enforcement official, and his son, Travis McMichael, were arrested in connection with the February 23 shooting of Ahmaud Arbery - 74 days after the killing.

The father was retired LE.
Sad, he should have known better, and should explained to his son that shooting a guy during his fake arrest would have been a prison sentence, so don’t screw it up. opps too late for that talk
Sounds like you have no facts, since you believe you can chase a guy down because you think he committed a crime somewhere, and murder him and call it self defense because your handling of the fake arrest went wrong
How was the shooter the aggressor?
Cause he admitted to trying to perform an citizen’s arrest, they initiated the contact with the victim, where he had no authority to do so, citizen arrests don’t involve guns, even in Georgia, Three guys in pick ups, with guns, vs one guy on foot, they were following him and harassing him about talking to them, one idiot got out of the truck and confront the victim and ended up shooting him as his arrest with a shotgun in hand didn’t go as planned. He shot him three times.
Yes, that is the definition of an aggressor.
And when you are the aggressor, you can’t claim self defense when your aggression turns south on you. Ie your victim tried to defend himself.
In the video, did you actually see the younger motorist run across the street and begin beating the pedestrian with his fists prior to the gunshots?
True if in New York City. However 40 or 50 miles to the North, there are millions of conservative, patriotic residents and traditional constitutional minded law enforcement agencies. We all tend to hear a name and make many assumptions. This very forum is hosted in the state of California. Do we assume the Host is some L.A. or San Fran Sicko Loonie? Gotta be careful lumping everyone together. There are literally millions of Conservative Patriots in New York State, California, etc. They could just possibly prove to be quite useful some day.
IF that happens, it will be rarer than finding a Unicorn pooping out 100 dollar bills at your front door.
“There are literally millions of Conservative Patriots in New York State, California, etc. They could just possibly prove to be quite useful some day.”
I guess anything is possible.
The rednecks put themselves in a position to be attacked! Again, it was redneck DUMB! Call 911 and let it go...DO NOT ATTEMPT A REDNECK INTERVENTION.
just out of curiosity, if... if the verdict comes back not guilty, self defense, would you change your mind then??

It won’t happen and these redneck KKK types should lynched for being so STOOPID!
Thank you for the link. Worth the time to watch the whole thing. Especially the part at the end, when he goes beyond the Arbery case. His words should be a warning to every person in the nation, even the world.
The length is due to the fact that he starts out with outlining the current media buzz about the case. Then he takes time go back and outline all the facts. He keeps a separation between the facts and his suppositions. Then he finalizes the Arbery incident with conclusions. Finally, he appeals to all people, all races, all religions with a concern for the direction we are headed as a nation, as a society. And he's right.
Worth listening to completely to the final sentence.
99 times out of 100, I would agree with you. I took the time to watch this video and each step along the way, the author kept to the facts while explaining the issues. I find this happens rarely. What is most important is what he says after he finishes with the Arbery incident. It's a message one should not miss.
I just cannot understand why you cannot accept the fact that the elder McMichael had been in Law Enforcement and working in the District Attorney's office for almost forty years.
“It wont happen and these redneck KKK types should lynched for being so STOOPID!”
I have a gnawing uneasiness that your tender concern for justice masks ugly prejudices.
The guy clearly likes to hear himself talk.
Suspecting him of committing a crime doesn't meet that standard.
Well, we missed his message because he took more than 45 minutes to get to it. That’s his fault, not ours.
Which doesn't matter in the least. Because at this point in time, he was 100% civilian, in an unmarked vehicle, and not in a uniform. What he did before that is immaterial because he is no longer an LEO under the law.
The elder McMichael wasn’t the shooter, his idiot adult son was, maybe in 34 years of having his son, he should have taught him a thing or two about how law enforcement works and that you just don’t go around acting like cop when you aren’t one. Oh wait, the idiot Dad instigated this whole thing.
I very much does matter. Forty years in law enforcement gives him expert knowledge and experience beyond the usual citizen when making a citizen's arrest.
100% civilian or not he knew that what he was doing was lawful and correct. The insane jogger suicide by charging an armed citizen was the only drawback. What do they say, play stupid games win stupid prizes?
The perp got out of the vehicle with a loaded shot gun as a threat to his victim who tried to defend himself. If the perp was so scared of the victim, why did he get out of the vehicle with a loaded shot gun if he wasn’t going to shoot and kill his victim?
