That is exactly what is coming. Money will be given for corona virus related expenses, we will be told it can’t be used for anything else, but it will go straight to funding those pensions.

Sounds familiar. Did the rent go up every 6 months (like clockwork) like it did in the apartment i rented at that time? I locked/chained my vehicle’s hood shut so that battery wouldn’t be stolen as my friend’s had been. And that was in a fairly nice neighborhood.
I was only there for a year. As it was the landlord tried keeping our security deposit claiming cigarette smoke made the walls dirty and he had to repaint.
Didn’t smoke.
My roommate took him to court - and won.
Perhaps.
It would also make them a richer target for unionization.
