Documents analyzing cellphone location data are said to show that a high-security laboratory studying coronavirus in Wuhan was shut down in October, according to a new report.
NBC News reported that US spy agencies are reviewing the document - a private analysis obtained by the news company's London-based verification unit - which claims that there was no cellphone activity in a high-security area of China's Wuhan Institute of Virology between October 7 and October 24, 2019.
The report, which was based on commercially-available cellphone location data - indicates that there might've been a 'hazardous event' in that area between October 6 and October 11.

In any event, there should be procedures in place keeping cellphones away from where pathogens are, or else those cellphones should remain at all times in their respective containment areas.

When did the US CDC person come back to the US? Wasn’t there an American who was abruptly reassigned? I have a vague recollection of reading about something like that. What I took from the story at the time was that it was “Trump’s fault” because our person on the ground was forced to leave the lab due to budget cuts.

Generally, people are not allowed to use or have cellphones in high security areas.

In a vain effort to block the spread, they devastated their own economy, they locked down a city of 11 million, they welded the doors shut on 1000 unit apartment buildings, they blocked travel from Wuhan to anywhere else in China.
Most damning of all, the allowed travel from Wuhan to the rest of the world!
