I stopped ordering from Amazon about a year or so ago and when they wanted me to renew my membership and charge my credit card for it, which had expired I declined the charge. I do remember when the charge used to be $50 when it went up to $120 I said no. I did order sometimes from private sellers which were quite reasonable

Here's the "Devil's Advocate" argument I'd present here:

Anti-trust laws are aimed at protecting the interests of consumers, not competitors. Anyone who expects the DOJ to litigate against a behemoth like Amazon should keep this in mind.

Not confined to Amazon. Big Tech/Silicon Valley refers to this as “efficient infringement” in order to give their thievery a veneer of respectability- who could object to efficiency? Certainly not consumers. Apple is one of the worst offenders and that hasn’t harmed them either.
