FBI Director Christopher Wray needs to go. He should resign or be fired. He was supposed to be the solution for the beleaguered bureau. Instead, he became the problem.
During his nearly three-year tenure at the helm of the FBI, Wray has consistently defied Congress by refusing to produce documents exposing the dishonest acts of his predecessor, James Comey, and his cadre of corrupt confederates. Even worse, Wray is to blame for suppressing evidence of innocence in the criminal case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Under Wray, promises of transparency and reform proved to be nothing more than an illusion, replaced by a deliberate cover-up of FBI malfeasance in the Trump-Russia investigation.

Americans are right to be fearful of the FBI. The agencys chronic abuses of law and process, together with its thuggish tactics, present a frightening example of how power corrupts.
Director Wray had the opportunity to chart a new course for the FBI in the wake of the unscrupulous and unprincipled James Comey. The vast majority of the honest and honorable agents who populate the bureau deserved a new leader who cares about truth, fairness and justice. They got Christopher Wray instead.
Former House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., was correct when he said on Sunday that America needs an FBI that we can trust. Sadly, that will never happen as long as the current director is in charge.
It is time for Wray to go one way or another.

I nominate Michael Flynn as the hew director.
The FBI needs to be completely disbanded.
L
Wray? The entire FBI needs to be sent to North Korea.
I sent a note to Trump over a tear ago telling him that Wray was a deep state snake. People are incredibly naive.
I nominate Michael Flynn as the hew director.
I second that nomination
I said the same thing to my father the other day
ARCHIVES-—Panic! At The DOJ? Obama’s Spy Czar Nukes Comey And FBI Director Wray’s Assertion That Trump Campaign Wasn’t Spied On

It seems like the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign. The only thing left is figuring out the final cast of characters. James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, and some other familiar faces should be yanked back onto the Hill to discuss everything. From this apparent spy operation against the Trump campaign to FISA abuses, there are rumblings that the impending IG report on these abuses will be scorching. So, is there panic? There might be, especially after former Director of National Intelligence under Obama, James Clapper, nuked the FBIs position that no spying occurred against the Trump team in 2016. The New York Times reported that some woman named Azra Turk was sent over by the FBI (or CIA) to oversee the spying operation, which also included longtime CIA operative Stefan Halper trying to infiltrate the campaign.
Ms. Turk reportedly was a honeypot trying to pump information out of George Papadopoulos, who said he has no gripes with the Times piece other than he thought Turk was CIA. Yeah, former CIA director under Obama, John Brennan, is also on the list of people who need to get the hell back to the Hill to answer questions.
Yet, Michael Goodwin of the NY Post also noted how its a bit disturbing that the liberal media takes all of this at face value. How do we know this wasnt a plot to stop Trump from being elected? How do we know nothing illegal occurred? All should be answered in due time. With Attorney General William Barr at the helm at DOJ, I have confidence that this will happen.
“I have no idea what hes talking about. The FBI doesnt spy. The FBI investigates. The Republicans need to breathe into a paper bag.”
Still, Comey asserts that the FBI doesnt spy, which is absurd in the post-9/11 world. Of course, the FBI is an intelligence agency. Its the domestic arm of that community, while the CIA handles foreign surveillance. FBI Director Wray also tried to run interference on this narrative (via NBC News):
FBI Director Chris Wray said Tuesday that he would not describe the federal government’s surveillance, such as that conducted on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, as “spying,” as Attorney General William Barr has.
During a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing, Wray was asked by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., about Barr’s statement last month that “spying did occur” on the Trump campaign.
“I was very concerned by his use of the word spying, which I think is a loaded word,” Shaheen said. “When FBI agents conduct investigations against alleged mobsters, suspected terrorists, other criminals, do you believe they’re engaging in spying when they’re following FBI investigative policies and procedures?”
“That’s not the term I would use,” Wray said of “spying.” “So, I would say that’s a no to that question.”
But Clapper had already come in like a wrecking ball, saying what happened to the Trump campaign fits the dictionary definition ofwait for itspying. Of course, he also spun it to make it seem less pernicious, but its becoming clear that some unprecedented operation was executed against a rival presidential campaign (via Free Beacon)
Clapper on Obama Admin.: What They Did to Trump Campaign ‘Meets the Dictionary Definition of Spying’
James Clapper, a CNN contributor and former Director of National Intelligence, admitted last Friday that what the Obama administration did to the Trump campaign “meets the dictionary definition of spying.”
Clapper, who served as the DNI during the Obama administration, appeared on CNN’s Situation Room to discuss new revelations that the FBI sent an undercover agent to meet with George Papadopoulos in London in 2016, backtracking from his prior comments about there not being any spying.
“Was it spying?” asked host Wolf Blitzer.
“Well, yeah I guess it meets the dictionary definition of spyingsurveillance or spying, a term I don’t particularly like,” Clapper said. “It’s not a term used by intelligence people. It has a negative connotation, a rogue operation, out of control, not in compliance of the law, and that’s not the case at all.”
So, you may not like the term, Obama-ites and liberal media clowns, but thats what happened. And frankly, we dont care if youre uncomfortable with the term. We won. Were going to find out what you did and brutal retribution should be carried out to those responsible.
And the truth shall set you free!
A new Director of the Federal Bureau of Incrimination And Sedition is not going to fix the problem.
The FBIAS IS the problem.
Wray is nothing but a Smirking Monkey Coup Plotter LIAR!
WTH isn’t Rod Rosenstein IN PRISON???
Every Registered Democrat already believes that Wray is the right guy.
Wray definitely needs to go, but his behavior hasn’t been a surprise to me. The one time I watched him testify before Congress, I guess during his confirmation hearing, he said over and over that his top priority would be to preserve the reputation of the FBI and to maintain the people’s confidence in the institution.
And he said it so much I took it to mean he’d preserve the reputation by preventing any developments that would harm the bureau. And that’s just what he’s been doing by way of cover-ups and withholding information as long as possible.
if he had any integrity, he would resign.
I sent a note to Trump over a tear ago telling him that Wray was a deep state snake.
**************
Ironic in that Trump used to frequently tell the parable of The Snake. He’s ignoring his own story.
When have we seen “FBI” and “trust” in the same sentence? Since James Stewart in the FBI Story movie and Efrem Zimbalist,Jr. in the TV series The FBI , I mean.
It was obvious from Wray first day he was nothing but a rat hack. Yet there he stays with not one mention ever of getting rid of him.
He’s gone....he may not know it, but he’s GONE!
It was obvious from Wray first day he was nothing but a rat hack. Yet there he stays with not one mention ever of getting rid of him.
