For weeks we were all told NOT to wear a mask, that it was useless.
Then suddenly one day we were ordered to wear them unless we wanted to kill people.
That tells me nothing more than the ‘experts’ are wrong half of the time.
Amen! Wake up!
Then they said there was a shortage of masks then they made its mandatory to wear one!
Exactly what my RN/BSN daugther said. She also said the protocol for her hospital changed numerous times in the last 7 weeks so she no longer believes anything the CDC says.
She has to wear her mask for two shifts whereas before had to change out her mask numerous times per day per protocol. And now they’re allowed to wear homemade masks, lol, that someone donated to the hospital. And has to go to work in her clothes, change into her scrubs, then change out of them before she leaves...for two weeks...now it’s back to being allowed to wear scrubs to and from work.HA
But she still has to wear her given mask for two shifts.Apparently, HUP still has a mask shortage.

The surgical masks do not protect the person wearing it from exposure. Those masks do help to cut down on transmission FROM the person wearing it to the person not wearing it(usually a patient in surgery).
So basically what they tried to tell people was that a mask was not going to protect you if you wore it—keeping your distance was the ticket to existence.
However, if you are infected with something you cab block some transmission to others with such a mask, just like using a Kleenex when you sneeze helps reduce spread to other people.
I thought it was pretty clear from the git go.
