I don’t mind the stay in place and sheltering in lower NY state and NJ to remain in place. Upstate would be okay. But, unless you want your hospital over run and lots of death, I would keep the NYC area closed for a while longer.

FWIW, I’d argue we have no idea how overrun the hospitals were. Some data I’d like to see: daily utilization rates for every hospital in NYS, their ERs and ICUs, beds occupied.

Let’s see just how overrun they were.

All states should allow everything reopened with capacity limits with cities being locked down if necessary (NYC, New Orleans, just to name a few)
