FWIW, I’d argue we have no idea how overrun the hospitals were. Some data I’d like to see: daily utilization rates for every hospital in NYS, their ERs and ICUs, beds occupied.
Let’s see just how overrun they were.
I think those statistics are there for you to review. Again, not all of NYS should be shut just the downstate area and the key areas in NJ too. It’s just to risky in that area.
At one hospital that I know of first hand was lightly staffed. The hospital staff that came to work were bored.
