WASHINGTON — Joe Biden’s remarkable comeback from the depths of a fifth-place finish in the New Hampshire primary to all but locking up the Democratic nomination this month can be traced to his overwhelming support among black voters. And one critical endorsement — from South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn — helped reinforce that support at a tenuous moment in his candidacy.
As Biden now takes steps to begin formally vetting potential running mate, there are few voices more influential to the former vice president than Clyburn’s. And while there may be pressure from some in the party to not just choose a woman, but an African American woman, Clyburn is more circumspect.
“I think having a woman on the ticket is a must,” the No. 3 House Democrat said in an interview with NBC News. “I’m among those who feel that it would be great for him to select a woman of color. But that is not a must.”

I think he should debate Old Creepy Joe. The conditions should be standing up for at least 2 hours and no lecterns in town hall style. I think Biden would either collapse or fall asleep standing up or just lose it and start babbling.
There's a case to be made for not debating at all. Too many things can happen.

IF Pence were to be removed from the VP slot for 2020 my greatest hope would be Trump selects Sarah Palin for VP.
Palin was totally maligned by the Lame Stream Media and needs to be vindicated. Trump is in a unique position to not only expose the lies from the left but also to restore Palin
Sarah Palin could most likely be the front-runner for 2024. In my humble opinion...
And what exactly would that plan accomplish? What makes Palin a better choice than Pence? Palin lost in 2008 and has been pretty much invisible for the past few years. She has a family that makes Billy Carter look like an asset. I can’t think of much that would help guarantee a Biden victory more than a Palin for Pence swap.

It was a big humble IF first of all, but I simply thought adding a highly qualified woman to the ticket would persuade more of the liberal/dem/younger votes. Palin still best imho esp. if we can shake up the msm and reveal truth behind TEA - Taxed Enough Already - party.
Would have to add though - I expect no matter what the polls and politicians say Trump wins 2020 in a landslide. I’m more concerned for 2024 looking to the future.
