I pretty sure a new law (or maybe it was sudden, much tighter actual enforcement of existing law) motivated many Chinese to ditch their “burner” phones which had become useless for avoiding tracking. You think American burners are low quality and cheap? They’re nothing compared to the junk Chinese burners.
