Herd immunity requires at least 75% of a population to have been infected (or vaccinated, but there is no vaccine.)

Remains to be seen how the herd immunity works out - we still don't have good data on level of immunity or shelf-life of said immunity.
I'm hoping what you say is true - if not, then vaccines will be problematic.
