Now, more Americans are starting to listen.
In what is emerging as one of the biggest untold stories of the coronavirus crisis, the media is starting to pay attention to the fact that the carnage of COVID-19 in nursing homes in New York state not only took place on Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s watch but was actually facilitated by an order from his state government.

As the New York Post’s Michael Goodwin recounted in a column published Sunday, a March 25 directive by the New York Department of Health essentially ordered nursing homes in the Empire State to accept patients carrying the coronavirus — bringing carriers of the potentially deadly organism into proximity with those most vulnerable to being killed by it.
And the results were inevitable.
Nursing home deaths from the coronavirus are a national problem, as The New York Times reported on Friday. Nursing homes and rehabilitation centers nationally accounted for about 10,500 fatalities attributed to the coronavirus — about a quarter of all coronavirus deaths.
However, it’s in New York that Cuomo was being touted as the Democratic answer to President Donald Trump’s daily coronavirus briefings.
In New York state, Goodwin reported, 3,500 victims died in nursing homes or rehabilitation centers — about 25 percent of the state’s coronavirus deaths.

This was a kill shot to nursing homes, especially knowing the Javits and Comfort were not fully utilized.
They would have been a great holding spot for a couple weeks to wait til these people tested negative.

Saint Andrew the Pious said he will pull the Nursing Homes licenses. He knows nothing about it.
Hopefully this will blow up in his face because this is a disaster on the elderly population in these homes.

While the media is still suggesting that Cuomo made himself a viable national candidate by his handling of this situation - I would say he wet the bed in a big way by his hysterics. Just the claims he made about respirators - and the untruth of it - registers large and negative in the common sense of national voters, if not in the thinking of the media elite.
Anyone who pays for cable and especially if its Comcast, is paying Rachel Maddows salary. You need internet. Don’t pay for cable TV. You are supporting the DNC with every payment.

No joke. Reading that tonight Faux News pulled the plug on Diamond and Silk at Fox Nation and on Fox News over coronavirus comments at YouTube.
Most likely a follow the money in some fashion. Does the state get paid more with people in nursing homes instead of carting them off to the Javits center or ship? It will be about Medicaid reimbursement or lack thereof.
The Nursing Homes get paid for each idividual patient they have in their facility...theylose revenue when they’re transfered....via Cuomo.
So..... if they’re dead, who gets paid.
Doesn’t make sense to endanger those most susceptible unless you simply could care less about them as a whole.

I had assumed the mandate was CDC issued.
There was a thread talking about this here just recently.
I called the place in Riverside county to ask them if California was doing this and they confirmed it.
At that time there was no one there with the virus.
Today we found out there are 47. Patients and Nursing home employees.
So,,,nice to know it was emporer newsome who is responsible.

I’m in California and had read my state was forcing nursing homes to accept corona patients from hospitals last week.
So I called my mother’s nursing home and asked the question point blank. I was put on hold for about 15 minutes. When they picked up I asked again and got a one word answer.
Yes.
I went with Philo (streaming) only news channel is chedder. And no sports.
the two things that make a huge cable bill, sports and news.
Then I got OANN on roku.. in total I spend about 22 bucks on TV. (plus my 50 dollar internet bill)
I kinda miss fox.. but the more I hear about them lately, the less I miss um.
